<p>I don’t mean to sound seditious here, but I have a rebellious plan to combat the ills that many corporations are perpetrating in the name of fighting grime and germs. My main gripe is about the environmental pollutants from cleaning and personal care products that we wash down our drains and into our water systems, resulting in situations like the chemical <a title="The Trouble With Triclosan in Your Soap" href="http://www.care2.com/greenliving/the-trouble-with-triclosan-in-your-soap.html" target="_blank">triclosan</a> (a pesticide added to many products as an antibacterial agent) being found in <a title="Triclosan Found in Dolphins" href="http://www.care2.com/greenliving/triclosan-found-in-dolphins-2.html" target="_blank">dolphins</a>.</p>
<p>So the simple plan is to encourage everyone to use baking soda in any of these 51 applications. Besides showing kindness to aquatic life, we can also protect ourselves from the array of toxins in household cleaning products. Conventional cleansers can expose us to multiple chemicals linked to asthma, cancer, and other documented health problems.</p>
<p>Baking soda also makes a perfect stand-in for many personal care products, which are adding their own twist to the toxic tangle of pollutants and personal health (mainly in the form of <a title="Good Scents: Natural Perfumes" href="http://www.care2.com/greenliving/good-scents-natural-perfume.html" target="_blank">synthetic fragrance</a> (and it’s almost all synthetic), sodium laurel sulfate, and <a title="Parabens: Easy Greening" href="http://www.care2.com/greenliving/parabens-easy-greening.html" target="_blank">parabens</a>).</p>

<p>So exactly how does baking soda fit into my scheme to make the world a better place? Baking soda, aka sodium bicarbonate,  helps regulate pH—keeping a substance neither too acidic nor too alkaline. When baking soda comes in contact with either an acidic or an alkaline substance, it’s natural effect is to neutralize that pH. Beyond that, baking soda has the ability to retard further changes in the pH balance, known as buffering. This dual capability of neutralizing and buffering allows baking soda to do things such as neutralize acidic odors (like in the refrigerator) as well as maintain neutral pH (like in your laundry water, which helps boost your detergent’s power). It’s a simple reaction, but one that has far-reaching effects for a number of cleaning and deodorizing tasks. And so without further ado, I’ll remove my scientist cap, put on my rebellious housekeeper’s cap, and get this folk-wisdom revolution rolling…</p>
<h2><strong>Personal Care</strong></h2>
<p><strong>1. Make Toothpaste</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>A paste made from baking soda and a 3 percent hydrogen peroxide solution can be used as an alternative to commercial non-fluoride toothpastes. (Or here’s a formula for <a title="Homemade Toothpaste" href="http://www.care2.com/greenliving/homemade-toothpaste.html" target="_blank">a minty version</a>.) You can also just dip your toothbrush with toothpaste into baking soda for an extra boost.</p>
<p><strong>2. Freshen Your Mouth</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Put one teaspoon in half a glass of water, swish, spit and rinse. Odors are neutralized, not just covered up.</p>
<p><strong>3. Soak Oral Appliance</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Soak oral appliances, like retainers, mouthpieces, and dentures, in a solution of 2 teaspoons baking soda dissolved in a glass or small bowl of warm water. The baking soda loosens food particles and neutralizes odors to keep appliances fresh. You can also brush appliances clean using baking soda.</p>
<p><strong>4. Use as a Facial Scrub and Body Exfoliant</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Give yourself an invigorating facial and body scrub. Make a paste of 3 parts baking soda to 1 part water. Rub in a gentle circular motion to exfoliate the skin. Rinse clean. This is gentle enough for daily use. <p><strong>5. Skip <a title="Deodorant: Easy Greening" href="http://www.care2.com/greenliving/deodorant-easy-greening.html" target="_blank">Harsh Deodorant</a></strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Pat baking soda onto your underarms to neutralize body odor.</p>
<p><strong>6. Use as an Antacid</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Baking soda is a safe and effective antacid to relieve heartburn, sour stomach and/or acid indigestion. Refer to baking soda package for instructions.</p>
<p><strong>7. Treat Insect Bites &amp; Itchy Skin</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>For insect bites, make a paste out of baking soda and water, and apply as a salve onto affected skin. To ease the itch, shake some baking soda into your hand and rub it into damp skin after bath or shower. <p><strong>8. Make a Hand Cleanser and Softener</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Skip harsh soaps and gently scrub away ground-in dirt and neutralize odors on hands with a paste of 3 parts baking soda to 1 part water, or 3 parts baking soda to gentle liquid hand soap. Then rinse clean. <p><strong>9. Help Your Hair</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong><a title="3 Vinegar Uses for the Hair" href="http://www.care2.com/greenliving/3-vinegar-uses-for-the-hair.html" target="_blank">Vinegar is amazing for your hair</a>, but baking soda has its place in the shower too. Sprinkle a small amount of baking soda into your palm along with your favorite shampoo. Shampoo as usual and rinse thoroughly–baking soda helps remove the residue that styling products leave behind so your hair is cleaner and more manageable.</p>
<p><strong>10. Clean Brushes and Combs</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>For lustrous hair with more shine, keep brushes and combs clean. Remove natural oil build-up and hair product residue by soaking combs and brushes in a solution of 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a small basin of warm water. Rinse and allow to dry.</p>
<p><strong>11. Make a Bath Soak</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Add 1/2 cup of baking soda to your bath to neutralize acids on the skin and help wash away oil and perspiration, it also makes your skin feel very soft. <p><strong>12. Soothe Your Feet</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Dissolve 3 tablespoons of baking soda in a tub of warm water and soak feet. Gently scrub. You can also make a <a href="http://www.care2.com/greenliving/swift-bliss-foot-soak.html" target="_blank">spa soak for your feet</a>.</p>
<h2><strong>Cleaning</strong></h2>
<p><strong>13. Make a Surface Soft Scrub</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>For safe, effective cleaning of bathroom tubs, tile and sinks–even fiberglass and glossy tiles–sprinkle baking soda lightly on a clean damp sponge and scrub as usual. Rinse thoroughly and wipe dry. For extra cleaning power, make a paste with baking soda, course salt and liquid dish soap—let it sit then scour off.</p>
<p><strong>14. Handwash Dishes and Pots &amp; Pans</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Add 2 heaping tablespoons baking soda (along with your regular dish detergent) to the dish water to help cut grease and foods left on dishes, pots and pans. For cooked-on foods, let them soak in the baking soda and detergent with water first, then use dry baking soda on a clean damp sponge or cloth as a scratchless scouring powder. Using a dishwasher? <p><strong>15. Freshen Sponges</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Soak stale-smelling sponges in a strong baking soda solution to get rid of the mess (4 tablespoons of baking soda dissolved in 1 quart of warm water). <p><strong>16. Clean the Microwave</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Baking soda on a clean damp sponge cleans gently inside and outside the microwave and never leaves a harsh chemical smell. Rinse well with water.</p>
<p><strong>17. Polish Silver Flatware</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Use a baking soda paste made with 3 parts baking soda to 1 part water. <a href="http://www.care2.com/greenliving/silver-cleaning-w-household-basics.html" target="_blank">Rub onto the silver with a clean cloth or sponge</a>. Rinse thoroughly and dry for shining sterling and silver-plate serving pieces.</p>
<p><strong>18. Clean Coffee and Tea Pots</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Remove coffee and tea stains and eliminate bitter off-tastes by washing mugs and coffee makers in a solution of 1/4 cup baking soda in 1 quart of warm water. For stubborn stains, try soaking overnight in the baking soda solution and detergent or scrubbing with baking soda on a clean damp sponge.</p>
<p><strong>19. Clean the Oven</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Sprinkle baking soda onto the bottom of the oven. Spray with water to dampen the baking soda. Let sit overnight. In the morning, scrub, scoop the baking soda and grime out with a sponge, or vacuum, and rinse.</p>
<p><strong>20. Clean Floors</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Remove dirt and grime (without unwanted scratch marks) from no wax and tile floors using 1/2 cup baking soda in a bucket of warm water–mop and rinse clean for a sparkling floor. <p><strong>21. Clean Furniture</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>You can make a <a href="http://www.care2.com/greenliving/alternative-furniture-polish.html" target="_blank">homemade lemon furniture polish</a>, or you can clean and remove marks (even crayon) from walls and painted furniture by applying baking soda to a damp sponge and rubbing lightly. Wipe off with a clean, dry cloth.</p>
<p><strong>22. Clean Shower Curtains</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Clean and deodorize your <a href="http://www.care2.com/greenliving/vinyl-shower-curtains-are-oh-so-toxic.html" target="_blank">vinyl shower curtain</a> by sprinkling baking soda directly on a clean damp sponge or brush. Scrub the shower curtain and rinse clean. Hang it up to dry.</p>
<p><strong>23. Boost Your Liquid Laundry Detergent</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Give your laundry a boost by adding ½ cup of baking soda to your laundry to make liquid detergent work harder. A better balance of pH in the wash gets clothes cleaner, fresher, and brighter.</p>
<p><strong>24. Gently Clean Baby Clothes</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Baby skin requires the most gentle of cleansers, which are increasingly available, but odor and stain fighters are often harsh. For tough stains add 1/2 cup of baking soda to your liquid laundry detergent, or a 1/2 cup in the rinse cycle for deodorization.</p>
<p><strong>25. Clean Cloth Diapers</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Dissolve ½ cup of baking soda in 2 quarts of water and <a href="http://www.care2.com/greenliving/cloth-or-disposable-diapers.html" target="_blank">soak diapers thoroughly</a>.</p>
<p><strong>26. Clean and Freshen Sports Gear</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Use a baking soda solution (4 tablespoons Baking soda in 1 quart warm water) to clean and deodorize smelly sports equipment. Sprinkle baking soda into golf bags and gym bags to deodorize, clean golf irons (without scratching them!) with a baking soda paste (3 parts Baking sodato 1 part water) and a brush. Rinse thoroughly.</p>
<p><strong>27. Remove Oil and Grease Stains</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Use Baking soda to clean up light-duty oil and grease spills on your garage floor or in your driveway. Sprinkle baking soda on the spot and scrub with a wet brush.</p>
<p><strong>28. Clean Batteries</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Baking soda can be used to neutralize battery acid corrosion on cars, mowers, etc. because its a mild alkali. Be sure to disconnect the battery terminals before cleaning. Make a paste of 3 parts baking soda to 1 part water, apply with a damp cloth to scrub corrosion from the battery terminal. After cleaning and re-connecting the terminals, wipe them with petroleum jelly to prevent future corrosion. Please be careful when working around a battery–they contain a strong acid.</p>
<p><strong>29. Clean Cars</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Use baking soda to clean your car lights, chrome, windows, tires, vinyl seats and floor mats without worrying about unwanted scratch marks. Use a baking soda solution of 1/4 cup baking soda in 1 quart of warm water. Apply with a sponge or soft cloth to remove road grime, tree sap, bugs, and tar. <p><strong>30. Deodorize Your Refrigerator</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Place an open box in the <a href="http://www.care2.com/greenliving/make-your-fridge-efficient.html" target="_blank">back of the fridge</a> to neutralize odors.</p>

<p><strong>32. Deodorize Trashcans</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Sprinkle baking soda on the bottom of your trashcan to keep stinky trash smells at bay.</p>

<p><strong></strong>Sprinkle baking soda on top as you add to the container. Also, clean your recyclable container periodically by sprinkling baking soda on a damp sponge. Wipe clean and rinse. <p><strong>34. Deodorize Drains</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>To deodorize your sink and tub drains, and keep lingering odors from resurfacing, pour 1/2 cup of baking soda down the drain while running warm tap water–it will neutralize both acid and basic odors for a fresh drain. <p><strong>35. Deodorize and Clean Dishwashers</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Use Baking soda to deodorize before you run the dishwasher and then as a gentle cleanser in the wash cycle.</p>
<p><strong>36. Deodorize Garbage Disposals</strong></p>

<p>Arthritis occurs in various forms such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, bursitis, gouty arthritis, infectious arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, degenerative disc disease, intervertebral disc degeneration, and many others.  The three commonest causes of arthritis are: hypothyroidism, athletic injury and vaccinations, especially juvenile arthritis following childhood vaccinations.  Rheumatoid arthritis occurs in six times more hypothyroid women than men because of estrogen dominance.</p>
<p>All forms of arthritis involve abnormal calcium metabolism. The metabolism of calcium depends on a number of factors:  adequate digestion of protein, proper acid-alkaline balance, an optimum calcium-to-phosphorus ratio, the presence of many nutrients such as calcium, magnesium and zinc, adequate hydrochloric acid (HCl), adequate levels of vitamin D3, the presences of a number of vitamins and minerals&#8211;including vitamins A, C, E, and K, important trace minerals and the proper hormonal balance.</p>
<p>Bone is not just all of the above elements stuck together.  It is an active living tissue requiring the above nutrients, which must be supplied by the diet.  If any one of these nutrients is deficient, your bone metabolism is in trouble.  Ninety-nine percent of the body calcium is (or should be) in the bones and teeth.  The other one percent, found the blood, is just as important because it is essential in the blood clotting mechanism, muscle and nerve function, vitamin D function, and the function of hormones that control calcium metabolism (called parathyroid hormones).  Of the one percent of calcium in the blood, half is protein-bound and half is ionized. Both require adequate protein digestion.  If you are deficient in protein because you can&#8217;t digest it, you cannot carry protein-bound calcium.  If you lack optimum acidity from inadequate digestion of protein, you will not have enough ionized calcium.  In either case, you are a candidate for arthritis.</p>
<p>The abnormal deposit of calcium is one of the factors involved in arthritis and arthritic inflammation.  Soft tissue&#8211;that is, any kind of body tissue other than bones and teeth&#8211;is a target for depositing calcium. Wherever this happens, pathology occurs: in the joints around inflamed areas (osteoarthritis), in the arteries (arteriosclerosis), in the kidneys (kidney stones), in the soft lenses of the eyes (cataracts), in the brain (stroke) and so on.  All of these conditions mean calcium has been deposited in soft tissue instead of bone.</p>
<p>What causes calcium to deposit in soft tissue?  Calcium can deposit in any damaged soft tissue. Certain toxins will cause calcium to deposit in soft tissues and the development of osteoporosis.  One of the major ones is excess estrogen, more prevalent in women than men. In addition, estrogen mimics such as pesticides and fluoride contribute to soft tissue deposition of calcium and arthritis.</p>
<p>To maintain an optimum acid-alkaline balance, it is important to ensure optimum digestion of foods either by eating lots of raw foods and/or by taking a multiple digestive enzyme supplement with meals.  Common over-the-counter acidifying or alkalizing supplements will upset this delicate acid-base balance, leading to digestive disturbances, which in turn result in calcium metabolism problems.  For example, antacids place an alkaline stimulus on the blood and cause calcium to precipitate in the urine, the stool, and in the worst-case scenario, in the soft tissues.  If the blood has excess alkaline reserves, it will not have adequate hydrochloric acid (HCl) for digestion in the stomach.</p>
<p>On the other side of the coin, acidifying supplements, such as betaine HCl and hydrochloric acid supplements commonly used by people who think this will help them, cause excess acid reserves in the blood which must be continuously dumped in order to maintain the blood’s narrow alkaline pH range of 7.35-7.45. This has far-reaching digestive consequences, because pancreatic enzymes are activated in the duodenum only at an alkaline pH.  Also, people who are too acidic may have trouble breathing, as in the classic asthma attack.  The natural way to raise the body’s acidity to an optimum level is to digest protein with protease, which supplies the hydrogen ions. In addition, lipase is required to increase chlorides with lipase.  Lipase carries chlorides, so if you are low in lipase, you will not be able to maintain an adequate chloride level.  </p>
<p>Instead of taking OTC (over the counter) antacids or acidifying supplements, wouldn&#8217;t it be better if we ate more raw foods, which contain the enzymes required for their digestion?  It is only through the complete digestion of foods by enzymes that the proper acid-base balance in the body is achieved, and only in a balanced pH environment can calcium metabolism maintain bone health.</p>
<p>Since we cook most of our foods, the need for food enzyme supplements to aid digestion becomes very important.  By food enzymes, I mean protease to digest protein, amylase to digest carbohydrates, lipase to digest fats, and cellulase to digest fiber.  These enzymes work in the stomach at the pH and temperature of the human body (98 F), unlike other plant enzymes such as bromelain and papain, which are at peak activity at a temperature range outside that of the body (124 to 140 F for bromelain and 95 to 115 F for papain).  In addition, pancreatic enzymes made by both animals and humans do not work in the stomach and work only at a pH range of 7.0 to 8.5, which is a much narrower range than plant enzymes, which work from an acidic pH of 3 to an alkaline pH of 9.</p>
<h2>What Causes Calcium Deficiency?</h2>
<p>Many people are calcium deficient because they eat calcium-deficient junk foods and commercial foods.  In particular, commercial foods contain half or less of the minerals and other nutrients that are in organic foods.  Many people cannot absorb or utilize calcium supplements, either because the supplements are not bioavailable and/or because of other nutritional deficiencies, particularly enzymes and hormonal imbalances.  </p>
<p>Ultraviolet light from the sun is also important in calcium metabolism.  It converts skin oil to vitamin D, which transports calcium from the stomach into the blood.  Certain fatty acids, especially oleic acid&#8211;present in milk, butter and extra virgin olive oil&#8211;are vital in the transport of calcium from the blood to the tissues.  What if you have vitamin D but not enough fatty acids?  Your blood calcium will increase at the expense of the tissue calcium level because there are no fatty acids to transport it to the tissues.  If your skin itches or you get hives, welts, or cold and canker sores when you go out in the sun, you may have tissue calcium starvation and a fatty acid deficiency.  People who don’t drink milk or eat butter are more prone to this condition.</p>
<p>A number of dietary excesses and deficiencies increase calcium excretion and therefore stimulate loss of calcium from bone.  These include excess consumption of red meat, due to the phosphorus content, not the protein.  Other protein foods don&#8217;t have this effect.  All red meat eaters don&#8217;t get osteoporosis&#8211;it depends on their entire diet.  People who eat red meat and have an unbalanced diet low in calcium, as most Americans do, are candidates for osteoporosis.  On the other hand, the Eskimos lived on raw meat and raw fish but did not develop osteoporosis, because they ate the entire animal &#8211; bones (a source of calcium), glands and organs plus the meat. </p>
<p>The standard American junk food diet is high in phosphorus and low in calcium and most vitamins and minerals.  Other dietary excesses that increase the likelihood of calcium excretion and bone loss include excess intake of sugar, alcohol, soda pop (high in sugar and phosphorus), and junk foods, which are deficient in trace minerals; and other factors listed above as bone nutrients.  Remember, all refined foods cause a deficiency of the vitamins, minerals and other nutrients that have been removed during processing.  Certain drugs such as cortisone, Prednisone, Dilantin, estrogen and all estrogenic substances, birth control pills, and fluoride also increase calcium excretion OR soft tissue deposition of calcium.<br />
 <br />
Other factors that induce bone loss are heavy metals such as aluminum (in baking powder, and cookware), antacids, conditions such as hyperparathyroidism (too much parathyroid hormone), malabsorption, lactose intolerance and an imbalance in the ratio of calcium to phosphorus.</p>
<p>An optimum hormonal balance is also essential to preventing calcium metabolism problems.  In particular, progesterone, the major female hormone, is responsible for making new bones.  Thyroid glandular has a dual purpose.  It promotes both new bone formation and bone dissolution (resorption) plus it converts LDL cholesterol into pregnenolone, the precursor for progesterone and DHEA.  Without the formation of new bone and the dissolving of old bones, bone loss occurs</p>
<h2>Dietary Factors To Help Prevent Arthritis</h2>
<p>Make sure that you have optimum thyroid functioning.  Why?  Many people with hypothyroid function develop arthritic symptoms. </p>
<p>Eat a natural whole food diet with as many foods in their natural raw state as possible. Exceptions include raw seeds and nuts which must be roasted to destroy the protease inhibitors raw cruciferous vegetables which must be cooked to destroy the thyroid inhibitors. The best foods to eat raw are dairy products, fruits, fruit juices and salads.</p>
<p>Nature never intended for us to cook dairy products. If you eat dairy products, consume them in their raw state.  Raw butter contains a substance which helps prevent arthritis.  It’s hard to get raw milk but you can get organic milk and usually raw cheese.</p>
<p>Eliminate processed, canned foods as much as possible.  In particular, avoid white sugar, white flour, margarine, other hydrogenated oils such as shortening, and low-fiber foods.  These aren&#8217;t really foods at all.  They don&#8217;t nourish the body, but rather, they create severe nutritional deficiencies, which lead to diseases.</p>
<p>Take a multiple digestive enzyme to optimize digestion of food.   People who eat dead foods have larger pancreases and higher white blood counts than those who include living, raw (high enzyme) foods in their diet.  You can find food enzymes in health food stores and from health care practitioners.</p>
<p>OSTEO is an excellent enzymatic-herbal formula for osteoarthritis, musculoskeletal pain, difficulty walking, and pain in the joints, knees, hips, etc. IVD is another excellent enzymatic formula for back and joint pain.  Para is an excellent and easily absorbed enzymatic calcium formula.</p>
<p>Be aware of foods, which can cause problems.  For example, some arthritics are intolerant of the nightshade family of foods, which includes tomatoes, green pepper, eggplant, and potatoes.  However, food enzymes can be effective in alleviating or eliminating such allergies.</p>
<h2>Calcium and Osteoporosis</h2>
<p>Thousands of American women suffer from osteoporosis, in spite of more-than-adequate calcium intake.  The logical question is, does calcium prevent osteoporosis?  The answer is, yes and no.  It&#8217;s true that adequate blood levels of calcium are essential in preventing osteoporosis because if the blood calcium is low, certain hormones are called forth to pull calcium from bones and teeth to maintain adequate blood levels of calcium.  But this is only part of the picture.  The rest of the calcium/osteoporosis connection is a little more complicated.</p>
<p>One enzyme pioneer, Francis Pottenger, M.D., studied a diet of raw meat and milk versus cooked meat and milk in a thousand cats and made a profound discovery.  Both raw meat and raw (unpasteurized) milk gave the same results.  The cats who ate raw foods lived longer and had healthy, well-formed offspring with no structural abnormalities or dental decay. Their bones showed an average of 12 to 17 percent calcium.</p>
<p>The first generation of cooked-food cats showed an impaired sense of coordination, lethargy, and decreased libido, dental deterioration with tooth and gum abscesses, and arthritis.  In the second generation, structural abnormalities appeared in the skeleton and the average bone calcium levels fell to 10 percent.  In the third generation, the average bone calcium fell to 3 percent, and the cats displayed very fragile bones with multiple fractures and severe skeletal deformities.  Third generation cats became infertile and the cats who did reproduce produced stillborn and deformed offspring.  It took four generations of a raw-food diet before the animals regained their health and original structure (Pottenger, Francis M., Jr., M.D.).</p>
<h2>The Estrogen Connection to Bone Loss</h2>
<p>We&#8217;ve long been lead to believe that women need estrogen to prevent bone loss.  This is not true.  Estrogen and all estrogenic substances, whether herbal, such as black cohosh (Remifemin), sage, pennyroyal, licorice, and estrogen mimics, such as pesticides, fluoride (in water, green tea, toothpastes and commercial foods) cause bone loss.  In the past, mostly women got osteoporosis, largely due to the estrogen in birth control pills or estrogen replacement therapy.  Since the advent of pesticides and fluoride, which mimic estrogen, more and more men are developing osteoporosis.  </p>
<p>It has been claimed that estrogen prevents osteoporosis and the lack of estrogen causes it.  Probably the strongest argument for the use of estrogen to prevent osteoporosis is that it causes decreased excretion of calcium in the urine.  I believe that Dr. Ray Peat is correct when he says that estrogen&#8217;s effect in decreasing urinary calcium is merely a toxic effect of estrogen&#8211;all toxins, including estrogen, cause the deposit of calcium in soft tissues.  Why do we assume that it&#8217;s going into the bone just because it&#8217;s not coming out in the urine?</p>
<div>In an article on bone loss in the November 1, 1990 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine, it was stated that estrogen helps prevent bone loss but does not promote bone formation whereas progesterone promotes bone formation.  I disagree with the comments on estrogen.</div>
<div>
Estrogen dominance, via its stimulation of prolactin can promote osteoporosis, as does cortisol. Excess estrogen can also cause pituitary tumors by stimulating cell division in the prolactin-secreting part of the pituitary. If you are estrogen dominant and thus low in progesterone, you are a candidate for osteoporosis.  Natural (not synthetic) progesterone will correct the problem by balancing the estrogen-to-progesterone ratio.  Also, thyroid glandular will stimulate the liver to dump estrogen and help convert LDL cholesterol to pregnenolone, progesterone and DHEA. </div>
<p>Additionally, the accelerated bone loss observed in female long-distance runners is at least partly due to the conversion of progesterone to cortisol, demanded by the body during the stress of heavy exercise.  In other words, when progesterone is diverted away from its role in bone formation by unusual activities such as excessive exercise, bone loss can occur.</p>
<h2>The Need for Progesterone in Hypothyroid Women</h2>
<p>Dr. Ray Peat has a patented 10% oral progesterone formula which is essential for osteoporosis prevention and provides nutritional support of structure and function in all female problems.  Oral natural progesterone is %100 absorbed whereas progesterone cream is only 10% absorbed transdermally. </p>
<p><em>Let&#8217;s summarize ways to prevent bone disease:</em></p>

<div>Eat an organic diet that stimulates good thyroid function: animal protein, fruits, fruit juices, coconut oil and adequate sea salt.</div>

<div>Consume natural, whole organic foods, with a wide variety of raw foods, including raw dairy and fruit.  A high-enzyme diet will increase your likelihood of getting all the nutrients required for healthy bones.  It&#8217;s about making conscious choices: for instance, why drink cooked (canned or frozen) orange juice when you can drink fresh, raw orange juice instead? </div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Eat adequate protein, salt and fruit.  These will stimulate thyroid function, essential in bone health.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Eliminate processed foods from your diet such as especially refined sugar, white flour, and margarine.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Take multiple digestive enzymes to increase digestion of foods.  You can buy these over the counter at health food stores, or consult a health care practitioner well versed in enzymatic therapies.  Also, Thera-zyme Para can be used for calcium deficiency.</div>

<h2>Case Histories</h2>
<div><em>Howard’s Story</em></div>
<p>From the time he was a youth until the age of 35, Dr. Howard Loomis was an avid basketball and baseball player.  He recalled his first knee injury when he was only 14 and was tripped while running at top speed with the ball.  He landed on both knees and skidded six feet across the hardwood floor, permanently scarring his knees and causing serious injury to them.  He played basketball even during the summer on courts made of concrete or asphalt, adding a continuous stress to his knees.  He continued playing basketball through high school, college and chiropractic school.  During these years he counted at least ten sprains on each ankle.  In addition, he pitched baseball yearly until he was 35 adding yet more stress to his injured knees.  As time passed, he noticed more and more arthritic pain in his legs, feet and knees.  Finally, at the age of 55, the pain became severe and when he was 58, he went to an orthopedic surgeon who said, “when you have had enough pain, tell me and I will do knee surgery.”  Loomis said, “Enough,” and the doctor scheduled surgery on his right knee, which was worse than his left.  About two weeks before surgery, he felt a stabbing pain in his left knee.  He couldn’t walk on it or straighten it.  So, although the surgery was scheduled for his right knee, the doctor chose his left knee, which was severely swollen.</p>
<p>Loomis told me, “I don’t know how people make it through surgery without enzymes.” The major enzyme formula for relieving the pain, swelling and bruising following surgery is Thera-zyme TRMA.  Still, it was three months before the pain subsided and Loomis was back to work.</p>

<p>At age 12, Heather received a DPT shot.  “I didn’t question it,” said Colleen.  “Immediately after this shot, Heather, whom I will call a ‘bubble’ – vibrant, energetic and very athletic, a runner – became increasingly ill.” Her initial problems included:  flu-like symptoms and frequent infections, a constant sore throat, chronic sinus infections and severe fatigue.  She spent more and more time on the couch.  Painful arthritic symptoms appeared and became steadily worse.  She took so many different antibiotics that she became immune to them.  In addition, during the next five years, she took high doses of methothrexate, cortisone shots, high doses of Prednisone (synthetic cortisone) plus non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS).  The latter caused ulcers.</p>
<p>The drugs didn’t help and Heather gradually became nearly immobilized by her arthritis.  She could not open her arms; her feet became severely crippled and she walked with great pain, stooped over like an elderly woman.  Finally, at the age of 17, she dumped all of her drugs and went to a naturopathic doctor, who started her on a cleansing program of fresh fruits, vegetables and protein.  “This was a turning point,” said Heather.  But, she still had a long way to go. </p>
<p>At the age of 18, Heather started enzyme therapy supervised by her mother.  At the beginning of her enzyme program, Heather was jaundiced, with dark circles under her eyes and still walked bent over in severe pain and with loss of motion in her arms.  Colleen started her on the following formulas based upon the Loomis 24-hour urine test and a physical exam.</p>

<p>Next, she was given arch supports as recommended by Dr. Loomis.  When she put them into her shoes, she stood up straight for the first time since her vaccination and said, “I don’t hurt.”  This was another milestone, but she still had aching joints.  Then Colleen added Thera-zyme OSTEO, a formula for arthritis and musculoskeletal pain and difficulty walking.  In less than two weeks, Heather felt less pain.  In less than three months, her pain was 50% gone and she no longer felt pain when sitting.  There is still some pain in her left ankle when she walks, but it, too, is decreasing.  She is back in school now, going at full speed and very grateful that her mom found out about enzymes.</p>
<h2>The Thyroid &#8211; Arthritis Connection</h2>
<p>Arthritis not only is the outcome of some vaccinations and athletic injuries, it also occurs as a result of hypothyroidism.  The following case histories came from interviews with Dr. Ray Peat.</p>
<p><em>The Man Who Got Arthritis After an Injury</em></p>
<p>A healthy 71 year-old man was injured while repairing the foundation of his house.  Shortly thereafter, he developed arthritis in his hands.  It is fairly common for arthritis to appear shortly after an accident, a shock or surgery.  This man went to his doctor to get relief for his arthritis.  He was annoyed that he doctor insisted on giving him a complete examination and wouldn’t give him the shot of cortisone he requested.  The doctor’s exam showed low thyroid function and he prescribe thyroid glandular, explaining that arthritis is one of many symptoms of low thyroid function.  The patient agreed to take the thyroid glandular but he grumbled about the doctor who was fixing something that wasn’t wrong and who ignored his arthritis.  But, in less than two weeks, his arthritis disappeared.  This man lived to be 89 years old and had no recurrence of arthritis.  He died of natural causes, while in good health (Dr. Ray Peat, From PMS to Menopause, Chapter 19, “Arthritis and Natural Hormones.”)</p>
<p><em>The Woman Who Forgot Where She Was</em></p>
<p>A 52-year old woman came to Peat totally disabled following the onset of her cyclic seizures (during menses) at the age of 35.  Although her estrogen level was normal, she had almost no progesterone.  Instead of a healthy 15-to-one ratio of progesterone to estrogen, hers was one-to-one.*  Her doctor diagnosed her permanently mentally disabled.  She could not travel because she forgot where she was.  Her fingers looked like sausages from arthritis and she couldn’t bend them.  Peat had her dip her “sausage fingers” into an olive oil solution containing progesterone.  In 3-4 days, her progesterone to estrogen ration became five-to one.  She walked alone down the street to Peat’s office, ginning and bending her fingers, which no longer looked like sausages (Peat, ibid.)</p>
<p>* “Two fertility clinics found that the women who got pregnant had 50 to 100 parts progesterone to one part estrogen.  The ratio that’s compatible with implantation and gestation is probably similar to the ratio that’s good for brain function and health maintenance.  The blood carries only a certain maximum amount of progesterone and if it’s already loaded with estrogen, it’s impossible to get the correct ratio without lowering the estrogen.  The ideal ratio for fertility is apparently above 15 to one but that’s fine for ordinary life.   When the ratio is very high, there are fewer of the symptoms associated with estrogen dominance.”  (Dr. Ray Peat)</p>

THz radiation effectively unzips the double helix strands, creating anomalies that would be detrimental to gene expression and replication. The report concludes by saying that TSA scanners are not only a gross invasion of privacy, but are also producing long term effects on human health that ultimately shorten the lifespan of those who are unfortunate enough to be affected by them.</p>
<p>Add this to the constant exposure from cell phones, cell phone towers, and other forms of radiation including x-rays from medical procedures, and you have a mega-radiation dose over time. Radiation is indeed harmful; there’s a reason why doctors leave the room after giving patients undergoing radiation a heavy lead coat.</p>
<p>The pervasive nature of this threat has even prompted the FDA to issue guidelines concerning radiation exposure and safety. <a href="http://news.yahoo.com/fda-kids-medical-tests-child-size-radiation-080234010.html" rel="nofollow">This report</a> notes of a proposal to create less dangerous scanners and technology in an attempt to mitigate the damage done, espically to younger individuals.</p>
<p>The fact that they would propose taking action shows that they know the effect of radiation is a real threat and causing damage daily. Taking this into account, you should also be aware of the dangers and necessity to protect yourself and others.</p>

<h2 style="text-align: center;">Janet Perry joined us this morning to share some very interesting and insightful information on low dose Naltrexone.</h2>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">The following information comes from <a href="http://www.lowdosenaltrexone.org">www.lowdosenaltrexone.org</a> and summarizes the show perfectly.</h2>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">There is growing recognition in the scientific community that autoimmune diseases result from immunodeficiency, which disturbs the ability of the immune system to distinguish &#8220;self&#8221; from &#8220;non-self&#8221;. The normalization of the immune system induced by LDN makes it an obvious candidate for a treatment plan in such diseases.</h2>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">The experience of people who have autoimmune diseases and who have begun LDN treatment has been remarkable. Patients with diagnoses such as systemic lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, Behcet&#8217;s syndrome, Wegener&#8217;s granulomatosis, bullous pemphigoid, psoriasis, and Crohn&#8217;s disease have all benefited.</h2>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">Because LDN clearly halts progression in multiple sclerosis, its use has been more recently extended to other neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson&#8217;s disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig&#8217;s disease) whose etiology remains unknown but for which there is suggestive evidence of a possible autoimmune mechanism.</h2>

<p>If you&#8217;re eating a lot of cheese, milk, and ice cream, you&#8217;re swinging over to the alkaline side.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re eating potatoes, French fries, and/or potato chips too, you&#8217;re even more likely to be alkaline.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re taking calcium supplements, you&#8217;re a definite candidate for being too alkaline.</p>
<p>Dairy products plus calcium supplements equal milk-alkali syndrome (also called Burnett&#8217;s syndrome).</p>
<p>Milk-alkali syndrome may lead to metastatic calcification, atherosclerosis, kidney failure, etc.</p>
<p>Magnesium supplements are also alkalizing.</p>

<p>The MBP is pretty simple&#8230;</p>
<p>I used this in Mexico for all the endlessly fluoridated people and all their sicknesses, and it made it so that the conditions associated with endless amount of fluoride they were consuming via bathing was reversing and QUICKLY.</p>
<p>This happened to the extent that mold and fungus in and under toenails and fingernails disappeared within weeks, if mold etc had been there less than 10 years, but it took about 2 to 4 months if they had mold under toenails more than 40 years.</p>
<p>Bathing forces the poisons of chlorine, bromine and fluoride (all water contaminants esp when in excess) into your body 10 to 30 times more than if you drank 8 cups of the tap water per day (and they drink NO tap water in Mexico it&#8217;s all Reverse Osmosis water for drinking!) &#8211; yet all waters that they bathe in contain these items as put in via water authority (except of course in the case of Mexico where people are getting their waters from wells which are notorious for having 10 to 40x the amount of fluoride in it from rocks in the ground, sigh, oh well.</p>
<p>At the same time these super powered elements of beets were manifesting in their faces. One 28 year old woman, who had crows feet and fat on her face (around mouth area) even though she didn&#8217;t have too much fat on her body, had friends and neighbors give her the worst stare about 3 or 4 weeks after starting this and she finally burst out to ask why they were all sneering and snarling at her.</p>
<p>They said that it was soo vain of her to go and get plastic surgery or a face lift or whatever &#8211; spending all her husband&#8217;s hard earned money, to which she burst out laughing, and told them about the MBP. She knew that I would get a kick out of hearing her tell this story because it was nothing but the mini beet protocol which she had done faithfully every day for previous 2 months that accomplished this.</p>
<p>Oh and she became pregnant one month later after trying everything in the world to get pregnant previously and had failed for previous 6 months. She told me she attributed this to the faithful doing of this MBP. I can assure you that she was right, since the MBP will clear estrogen receptor sites, and heavy metals as well leaving it easy for body to not only produce estrogen but also to receive it since estrogen receptors are now cleaned and uh, receptive! Heavy metals also block receptor sites, too, if you didn&#8217;t understand the connection. Also, heavy metals in general will easily prevent child birth just b/c of their affect on the body.</p>
<p>Beets not only remove heavy metals, but also they ‘youth&#8217; you to point of removal of wrinkles and lines and fat from body, most especially removal of fat from strange places on body like around side of lips and under and over eyes and under cheeks and right under your chin!!! Not to mention love handles! Woo hoo!</p>
<p>The MBP also helps with &#8216;turkey-neck&#8217; removal although it is much better to use Salads for turkey neck removal (ie romaine lettuce always with tomatoes for that) and beets remove love handles and ‘under the butt&#8217; and ‘sides of hips&#8217; fat deposits &#8211; and you can kiss cellulite goodbye &#8211; all this from beets, but beets also balance hormones and clean the brain of bleached items that have deposited there (in back of brain) over a lifetime (bleached starch, bleached sugar/salt/flour &#8211; therefore you should get decent sea salt instead)&#8230;</p>
<p>Beets will restore your methyl levels back to decades earlier&#8230;Methyl groups are like a yard stick of how long you will live, you use them up everytime you don&#8217;t get in enough nutrients from the food you ate during that meal or for the all the meals for the day. For example, not any methyl or enzymes or enough vits and minerals in your meal, then body will age you (use up methyl groups) to make up for it, hence aging and lines and wrinkles occur!</p>
<p>Beets will force the destruction of the greatest maker of endless free radicals &#8211; which are ‘malformed red blood cells&#8217; &#8211; these malformed red blood cells are made by the body despite not having enough ingredients to make that blood cell in the first place; that is, body makes those cells no matter what usually even if not enough raw material to make a red blood cell&#8230;anyway, beets also force the making of new blood cells too (this time correctly made red blood cells.)</p>
<p>[Note: malformed red blood cells output about 100+ free radicals per minute of their existence...they are free radical factories, they need destroying fast!! They pollute the blood unimaginably quickly]&#8230;</p>
<p>Beets are also an amazing tissue rebuilder and DNA corrector (there&#8217;s a book alone that can be written on DNA fixing, and rewriting, but I&#8217;m gonna leave it here for now)</p>
<p>Beets remove scars too&#8230;.scar removal over time, like many months to 2 years and even then I prefer the use of lots of Ormus and magnets as well &#8211; we&#8217;ll discuss Ormus another time soon with scar removal though as a scar remover the beets can remove 100% of all scars at massiveeeeee doses within 2 months however the side effects of such a thing are &#8211; way too hard for anyone to go thru without one or two friends there the whole time, it&#8217;s horrendous work&#8230; requires another book just to explain this and how it works, but another time. Note: all side effects can be removed but there&#8217;s a price to pay and it&#8217;s almost as bad as the side effects in amount of work to do hehe&#8230; I&#8217;ll leave it alone for now.</p>
<p>But the results of the massive beet dosage, way beyond MINI beet version of protocol&#8230; making for excellent youthing all over body, darkening of 100% of all hairs anywhere on body (and/or removal of grey hairs anywhere &#8211; although I much prefer eating of beef or lamb liver for (for the faster working of ) this as all grey is gone in usually one month of doing beef or lamb liver 1 to 3x/day for 30 days), total annihilation of all parasites, mycoplasms, nano-insects, the 100% changeover of every cell in your body with new cells, total depesticiding of your body in every nook and cranny, the perfection of the eyes and beauty of the iris of the eyes, &#8230; etc etc etc</p>
<p>3 steps are necessary and must be done in order&#8230; I highly prefer this be done every morning but it is not illegal to do this anyyyyytime of day at all&#8230; I have a morning preference b/c it gets it out of the way fast!</p>
<p>If you have anyyy major sicknesses, cancer, heart disease etc&#8230; I highly suggest you take this protocol 3 x/day with lots of veggies consumed thru day as well (and add 1 tsp, 3x/day of cayenne (40,000 heat unit is fine, never less though) as well &#8211; see source list for this cayenne 888-372-4372). But doing this MBP one time per day is at a minimum. I would also appreciate you starting out with tiny dose of ¼ cup beets for the beet portion of the drink, you have to get used to it first and ¼ cup starting point is good starting point!&#8230;&#8230;</p>
<p>[Caution: those with anemia cannot do a protocol like this, those very weak - like always no energy and feel like their whole life is one big detox reaction they can never get over... cannot do this protocol... just simply call me and I'll show you how to get yourself to normal energy long enough to do the protocol]</p>
<p>FIRST PROTOCOL (there&#8217;s another way to take this I&#8217;ve recently discovered via one client who experimented with it more and it WORKS! See Second protocol below &#8211; the first one is a major keeper though nevertheless)<br />
Take one shot glass of cinnamon &#8211; say 2 or more tbls of water mixed with a fork in 1 tsp of cinnamon &#8211; stir for 2 mins &#8211; if you do not stir well enough it will not mix well and will be an amazing annoyance on the back of your throat while trying to drink it down&#8230; right after drinking it you are to swallow little water to wash your throat of the residue of the cinnamon. Let&#8217;s say this another way&#8230; you are to have 2 glasses in front of you. One glass is a stirred up cinnamon shot, and the second glass has a decent amount of water in it only, say 1 cup of water. Drink the cinnamon shot, then drink the glass with water in it only to wash throat of the residue of the cinnamon and to make sure you do not burn your throat from cinnamon heat.</p>
<p>Now you can start juicing below&#8230; it will be about 15 mins til get everything juiced and to start drinking, so this will give time for the cinnamon to do its work, about 15 mins in fact?<br />
The exact ratio of beet to asparagus juice combo is 60% beet to 40% asparagus, (ie, as an example in amounts: that would be exactly 3 cups beets juiced and 2 cups of asparagus juiced) but I have seen plenty make it into 50/50, (ie, equal amounts of each) &#8230;</p>
<p>Start out small please: work your way up to taking a full 1 cup of beet juice and ¾ cups asparagus juice (that is the goal of the mini beet protocol&#8230; 1 cup beet juice and ¾ cup asparagus juice, mixed and drunk)&#8230; but for the moment you must start out with lesser amount and work way up to that over say one week&#8230;start with ¼ cup beet juice to ¼ cup of asparagus juice, first juice the asparagus, take that juice away from under the juicer and measure it out perfectly and if there is any froth from the asparagus juicing, well, I measure ONLY the juice, NONE of the froth! Simple&#8230; do the same thing with the beets that you did with the asparagus &#8211; measuring it out separately. Now combine beet and asparagus juices, mix and drink right then. [the 100% purpose of separating them out is so that you measure them correctly that's all ]</p>
<p>Again, you can do this for a week every day, then thereafter do the next step up &#8211; ½ cup beet to almost ½ cup asparagus juiced, then next week step it up again and &#8211; do the full 1 cup beet to ¾ cup asparagus juice&#8230; this is the MBP not the Major Beet Protocol&#8230; the Major is just plain scary not only in the amount of beets/asparagus you are consuming but in it&#8217;s amazing affects on the human body, WOW! WOW! WOW! Very GOOD! 4 days of the Major and it will feel like someone lifted an anvil off of your kidneys, I kid you not&#8230;even if your kidneys function like perfection already!<br />
Now lastly is to eat one apple or two apples or three apples: one apple (if amount of mixed juice had in it a total of ½ cup of beet juice), or 2 apples (if amount of beets in the mix was ¾ cups beet juice) or 3 apples or more (if amount of beets IN THAT MIX as 1 full cup of beet juice ) &#8211; we&#8217;re talking ONLY about the beet juice portion of this mix &#8211; the beet portion is the only reason we&#8217;re eating these apples, so only measure the beet portion to know how much apples to take in &#8211; Next eat one or two carrots after the apples, I don&#8217;t care if it takes you 2 hours to get down 2 or 3 apples then eat 1-2 carrots as long as you get them down and in THAT ORDER (apples first then carrots) &#8230; you have to start with eating of apples right after the juice even if it takes you two hours to finish, just so long as you start Right After the juicing ok? if you did this correctly you should notice total perfection &#8211; not a drop or hint of side effects, fevers, chills, nausea, headaches, etc! ok? Eat those apples and then carrots to remove any drop of detoxing side effects.</p>
<p>&#8230;. for those who will obstinently refuse to take any advice on this and think they can be cocky with beets, then you have not seen the horrendous mind blowing shocking evil nausea (lol, I laugh but it&#8217;s not funny!) and other detox side effects that can come with it&#8230; do not play with beets if you are not able to follow this juice drink with eating of apples after or worse &#8211; if you get cocky after a 1-2 months of doing it faithfully and feel you don&#8217;t need the apples, then, watch out! but the detox side effects are beyond AWESOME in their annoyance of you and are not to be played with&#8230; if you do what I say there will not be a drop of any side effects&#8230;</p>
<p>SECOND PROTOCOL</p>
<p>This is a juicing protocol and no apples are needed but they are recommended and no cinnamon is needed (or recommended) when doing this 2nd protocol version&#8230; This version is MUCH easier to do but it&#8217;s more liquid to consume! I think everyone is going to get addicted to this 2nd version as it is also much cheaper b/c asparagus is soooooo expensive and it is NOT needed in this juicing version&#8230; so here it is:</p>
<p>Separately measured out : 1 cup of beets juiced, 1 cup of fennel juiced, 1 cup of 50/50 carrot/celery&#8230;. That&#8217;s it!!!! Drink down and eat one apple afterward (optional)&#8230;</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s remember that apples are eaten for the purpose of removing of detox side effects whereas in this case there are NONE b/c of the fennel (eventually can lower that to ¾ and ½ eventually b/c of not needing it as much) &#8211; over time you won&#8217;t even need as much fennel though the stuff is cheap cheap cheap &#8230; I do however recommend putting in the asparagus ANYWAY! Since it is an all around eater of every type of heavy metal there is! Just like beets are, and they provide super nutrition too&#8230; Note that in both recipes above the use of carrots with beets (whether eaten as in first recipe or juiced in second &#8211; carrots being the cousins of beets or should I say the wife since they are sooo good together &#8211; carrots provide a lotttt of calcium and force production of Human Growth Hormone &#8211; thus youthing you and providing calcium for detoxing without side effects as well as an answer to the acids inside of beets to tame them. Beets will always youth you more than carrots though, do not forget who the King is!)</p>
<p>Notes and extra information section:</p>
<p>&#8230;next note is for those with severe fluoride poisoning, you will notice huge amounts of headaches from eating nothing but asparagus, never mind also beets, &#8211; but you will have NOOOO headaches if eat the apples afterwards as mentioned above, esp with carrots following after&#8230;This is particularly useful info for those with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue and those on bone drugs that are highly fluoridated drugs.</p>
<p>Apples do not work if they are juiced, you must eat them&#8230; I found one way around this annoyance of having to eat them though&#8230; and it is to juice them then take the pulp of 1/3 of the apples and put it in the juice&#8230; the anti &#8211; &#8220;detox side effects&#8221; will not take place without the pulp! 1/3 of pulp in the juice, mixed up like so, is minimum to make this work, but you will have to increase though the amount of apples &#8211; I tried this and it worked and made it so that with only 1/3 that amount of apple pulp I was able to drink the apples down no problem&#8230;but of course, instead of 3 apples I now had to do like 6-8 thru a juicer, you get the idea&#8230; for those with teeth sensitivity then this is great!! Or just do the 2nd protocol to not have to worry at all about this (though I STILLLL recommend the use of an apple after anyway as it seems to double its effectiveness, not to mention this weird clean feeling you get after eating apples.)</p>
<p>Note: for those who wish to experiment, you can TRY apples sauce &#8211; plain &#8211; no honey or cinnamon at all!!!!! So for beet anti-nausea via apple sauce FRESHLY made, then no cinnamon added, must do the apple sauce alone by itself ok? I have NEVER tried this with this form of consuming apples afterwards, UNLESS I put them in my Vitamix with half their weight in water and then blended and drink down, and this worked, but why have I not tried this often? why? b/c when making apples sauce this way it takes TIME to consume &#8211; and I&#8217;m usually in a hurry, so up to you. Also, it&#8217;s much more volume of apples to consume than just eating two apples &#8211; b/c I had put in lot of water too &#8211; to make it more apple saucy&#8230; but the real question is: will it work if enzymes die b/c did not eat it fast enough? I do not know&#8230;..(but feel FREE to experiment)</p>
<p>Note the difference between apple sauce possibility versus the juicing of apples with pulp thrown back in &#8212; Easy b/c I just drink that juicing (with pulp) down in seconds after juicing &#8230; it&#8217;s easy to drink&#8230; but with apple sauce, can you just drink it down? NOOO&#8230; so it&#8217;s Up to you which to choose, give it shot&#8230;</p>
<p>Note: many have no access to asparagus so if not using asparagus you can mix with other juicings instead, and the juicing amount to mix it with is 2 ½x to 3x the juice amount of the beets. Let&#8217;s go over what that means: ie, if you juice 1 cup of beets, you need 2 ½ to 3 cups of another juice to make this anti-nauseous, ie, to dilute it enough, you cannot drink this beet juice straight! The other juices you can use are carrots with lots of celery(or prefer 50/50 celery/carrot) or (and I used this next one all the time in Mexico -&gt;) cucumbers and little celery or, third, just juice some apples and a little celery, and mix this with beets and drink&#8230; feel free to experiment with other juices to dilute this but asparagus is the only one I found that can be used in such a way as to not need much juice, while all other juices other than asparagus juice you must make 3x as much as beet juice soo &#8211; whew, that&#8217;s a lot of juice if using anything but asparagus, you see the prob?? &#8230; You get the idea&#8230;. I like the combo beet with carrot with apple with celery (and with cucumber possibly). The 2nd protocol is the now soo good that apples do NOT have to be eaten afterwards at all but I would still do it anyway to wash the kidneys please and make you feel &#8220;clean&#8221;.</p>
<p>Note: Let&#8217;s rehash the above to make it totally clear: if you juice 1 cup of beet juice, you must do 2 ½ cups to 3 cups of another juice (like only apple juice or only carrot juice or only cucumber juice) (or a juice mix &#8211; like carrot/celery/apple, or carrot celery or cucumber celery or apple celery) as given above&#8230; this will make for a total of 3 ½ &#8211; 4 cups of juice total (PS by the way, this last recipe is what was used by the 28 year old woman I mentioned above for that 2 month period of time that made her get pregnant and made all wrinkles on her face disappear.)</p>
<p>If you use apples to dilute the beet juice you must still eat the SAME amount of apples afterwards as in examples above &#8211; 1 or 2 or 3 apples eaten after depending on amount of beet juice in the mix! Sorry&#8230;apple juice will absolutely not remove any detox side effects of anything! You need the fiber to do that&#8230; No matter HOW MANY apples are juiced, it will never remove detox side effects in any amount! At all! Therefore must eat exact same amount of apples as would have originally even when apples juiced into the drink&#8230;.</p>
<p>Mini Beet Alternative:</p>
<p>[note: this alternative is a quaint alternative to get beets in you (from the whole form of beet using blender, NOT juiced, so fiber is still intact this way) but it NOT acceptable alternative to the MBP above for clearing out diseases and parasites and Lyme disease or Lupus or lung disorders or removing chlorine and fluoride (which is a lot faster if doing the MBP,) and for cancer, no way, Have To Use the MBP not this one below but you get the idea....this one below is like a supplement to take everyday...like a super smoothie for the day, uh, it's also quite like a happy pill, I kid you not, try this faithfully for one week drinking it right after making it so don't lose the enzymes. Note: for cancer I recommend both this where you're taking beets in in whole form and taking them in juiced form.]</p>
<p>This below is an alternative way to get beets in you, I have found it amazingly powerful and useful! So here it goes, and also it has less side effects b/c it&#8217;s in whole form&#8230; anytime you eat a beet instead of juice it &#8211; it has 5X less side effects, but slower working of its magic &#8211; but they WILL have side effects still &#8211; it just may take a week or two to come up &#8211; So eat your apples ok?? So.. here&#8217;s the 2nd recipe, the Mini Beet Alternative&#8230;</p>
<p>In a vitamix you are to put 4 bananas and 20-30 green grapes if have green (otherwise red or whatever will have to do) and one medium size beet (there are 3 sizes, gigantic (softball), medium (baseball) and baby (golf ball)) &#8211; if they are organic bananas, then put in the peel from half of one of them ok? Now &#8211; whatever height in the vitamix (or other super blender you have) the bananas and beets go heights go, ie however much space in the blender that they take, you are to add water at least ½ that height after the ingredients are in, then blend and drink&#8230;you are to eat one apple and one carrot afterward IN THAT ORDER AGAIN! Just like above&#8230; it must be eaten in that order, please. I love this recipe b/c it&#8217;s also like a happiness formula but it will NOT accomplish same thing as the protocol above, that is, like decalcification would take a LOTTT longer with this&#8230;</p>
<p>As for this mini beet alternative: Tell me if you do not have a noticeable turnaround in any problem you have starting in 3 to 5 days&#8230; not to mention that wonderful feeling in the brain that comes with that combo all by itself&#8230; don&#8217;t know how to explain that one! Lol This blended drink &#8211; it&#8217;s my 2nd most powerful version of a happy pill! Yes I have one better&#8230; saved for another time.</p>
<p>One warning though, if you are not eating enough apples and asparagus or you leave out the carrots/celery or you are significantly deficient in Magnesium you might get kidney stones ( 2 to 4 months later of doing this faithfully) like crazy in forcing all this stuff out&#8230;to rid yourself of chronic kidney stones simply take this dosage every day so that it is not an issue&#8230; the dosage each day that is to be taken is 100mg B6 and 300 mg of Mg&#8230;. I would recommend <a href="http://www.freedavitamins.com/">www.freedavitamins.com</a> as they don&#8217;t use toxic fillers for their synthetics&#8230; I despise synthetics but it&#8217;s a quick and easy fix&#8230; however, I&#8217;d just eat my carrots after or do the celery/carrot juice so don&#8217;t have to take the Mg and B6, ok?</p>
<p>Note: extra fun for those that have the extra time&#8230;For those doing the MBP faithfully, there are 4 supplements I prefer for people to take to make certain they do not suffer from stones&#8230;. 2-4 capsules of Coral Calcium from me, morning and night (this one is ionized naturally so body will see it as food instead of as most coral is seen &#8211; a heavy metal), 1 tbl of cod liver oil per day (also healthline.cc) , and Magnesium chloride (called Magnesium oil) in your bath or sprayed on ½ or just a ¼ of your body morning and night. <a href="http://www.life-enthusiast.com/">www.life-enthusiast.com</a> &#8211; 866-543-3388 (reference # 10240) &#8211; this will build up magnesium levels to perfection in 4 weeks (if sprayed on) &#8211; otherwise take 2 baths per day in it, for 8 weeks&#8230; (1/4 cup of Mag Oil in bath each time for 30 mins soak each time and in 2 months you should have perfect Mg levels) and lastly the most devastatingly powerful of all &#8211; butter oil from greenpasture.org (it&#8217;s a combo of butter oil and Mg in capsules or prefer you take it in pourable version, 1 tsp of each, 3x/day each for a few months)</p>
<p>Note : greenpasture.org &#8211; of all the supplements to take, this is by far the most vastly powerful and it is the butter oil(combo with cod liver oil)&#8230; it takes about 12 gallons of pure raw milk harvested in the two months of summer when grass grows like crazy and cows eat that much more of it to get that high of a concentration of Vit A and D that makes this supplement work: this 12 gallons makes one cup of butter oil &#8211; it&#8217;s very limited and very precious stuff&#8230;. It will dissolve on it&#8217;s own an entire calcified pineal gland in &lt; 4 months of 1 tsp of butter oil, and 1 tsp of cod liver oil, both taken 3x/day&#8230; it will force the absorption and usage of about 10x more calcium by the body than normal BECAUSE you can see it regrowing a new layer of enamel on your teeth within the first 2 weeks of usage! Do you see why I call it the most powerful of all?????? Yes??? Also, it will reharden ANY cavity if it has not yet been drilled out, and thus reverse a cavity that way! All within a few months! It is the single most powerful supplement you can combine with the above MBP in order to make it so that it is much more youthing than usual!!! Talk about major decalcification??? I&#8217;ve never seen such dramatic regaining of youth and looks as when people take my MBP with the butter oil combo&#8230; especially when they are already young like 35 ish and don&#8217;t have much reversing of aging to do!!! <p>Extra note: there are over 2,500 version of coral calcium all of which the body sees as heavy metal calcium, like the same calcium in milk after it&#8217;s pasteurized, ie, pure poison to the human body, however, this is the only coral in the world that is ionized and the body can use quite quickly! I looked over 7 years for this stuff &#8211; hunting, and found it, and it is naturally 1/3 magnesium, (no inorganic Mg added) and 2/3 calcium! Vit D is added via Grade 10 Reishi Mushroom, highest grade of Reishi in the world&#8230; so far&#8230;</p>
<p>Super Hydration Drink:</p>
<p>This will not act as a happy pill, wish it did but it&#8217;s a lot of the above items&#8230; I take this at night usually as opposed to different times of day it&#8217;s just easier this way&#8230;. One cup of chia seeds (see directions below), one cup of water, 1-2 beets smaller than a baseball and 2 bananas, throw into blender with 2 heaping tbls of tocotrienols and one heaping tbl of Calc Tea Powder (preferably with comfrey &#8211; 1lb bag from Dr Chris) and blend and drink&#8230; eat one apple minimum afterwards!!!</p>
<p>One cup of chia seeds &#8211; take 2 tbl of chia seeds and put into a cup, then pour in about a cup of water and stir with a fork for a min or so and try to get as many chia seeds as possibly to be below the surface of the water&#8230; it will be good to go within 30 mins or even 20&#8230; but I just put it in the fridge overnight b/c it&#8217;s easier for me that way.<br />

<p>A special note about carrots is in order. Like virtually all vegetables, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of phytonutrients (i.e. nutrients in plants not otherwise classified) in carrots that have not yet been identified or tested for cancer-fighting abilities. A long-time and highly reliable friend of mine (in fact, my wife and I had our wedding reception at her home more than 35 years ago), told me about her friend&#8217;s father, who completely cured his throat cancer with carrot juice. In other words, he ate nothing and drank nothing but carrot juice and natural water.</p>
<p>Closer to home, I have seen a clear pattern in the people I have interviewed, and testimonials that I have read, that carrot juice was the core element of their raw food diet. While the day may come that some other vegetable, such as beetroots (i.e. red beets), may be shown to be even better, until that day comes it would be advisable to make sure that carrots are the core of your vegetable juice.<br />
[the problem with the above is that almost every maker of ready to eat peeled and washed carrots in the USA has dipped them in chlorine before shipping them out! <p>Juicers: in order to juice this in regular centrifugal juicer you must consume it the second that it is juiced (both beet and asparagus and then mix and drink) but if you do not drink it right then &#8211; all the enzymes will die (most likely less than 15 mins after juicing (probably really 7 to 10 mins)- so be quick about drinking this, the power is in the enzymes not just vitamins and minerals), whereas if you get the Omega juicer 8003 or 8005 ($250ish) or if you get the Green Star Juicer ($350ish) the enzymes will last 1 day maybe if you&#8217;re lucky; however, #1 in the world juicer for preserving enzymes is, so far, is the Norwalk &#8211; so with these juicers above you can consume the juice mix later if you like making it very easy to juice a lot and drink it later saving you a lot of time of having to juice 2 to 3x/day .. yes??? (note: Norwalk makes enzymes last the longest, 1 ½ to 2 days min, and 3 days max, but the other 2 types work only to make enzymes live for &#8230;. 1 day if you&#8217;re lucky) &#8211; enzymes are a necessity if you&#8217;re getting over anythinggg related to cancer, or other major diseases&#8230; or dealing with such. Dr. Bernard Jensen found in treating anyone with cancer and other diseases, that juicing and super juices will NOT work without the enzymes alive!</p>
<p>Side Note: technically though the greatest eater of cancer in the world are phytochemicals, these are found in the pulp&#8230; the highest source of phytochemicals to date with 325 different phytochemicals is&#8230; apples&#8230; hmmmmmm&#8230;..</p>
<p>Note: enzyme juicers above (not including the Norwalk) will give you about 25% to 150% of the vitamins and mineral content GREATER THAN a centrifugal juicer, BUT the Norwalk will do 50% to 300% greater vitamin and mineral content above and beyond the (as I call them) enzyme juicers, always beating out the other enzymes juicers above in anyyyy category of juice extracted both in volume extracted and in amount of nutrients extracted and in length of time the enzymes will live after juicing&#8230; just so you know&#8230;</p>
