Patricks Good Friend Shares Her Story of Going to Ecuador to Heal Her Cancer with the Help of Dr. Robert Dowling

We had the privilege of speaking with Ann Beckman this morning, a dear friend of Patricks, who has battled an aggressive breast cancer for 9 years. She has just returned from having spent 6 weeks in Ecuador at Dr. Bob Dowlings Clinic. Unfortunately, Patrick was out in La-La-Land and  forgot to start recording the interview until it was on the way to being half over, but he does a nice re-cap at the end to catch everyone up. He co-authored a clinical study validating key technology for Coalescent Surgical, which was subsequently acquired by Medtronic, Inc.

In 2003, Dr. Lundell left his successful thoracic and cardiovascular surgical practice after 25 years to open a clinic to test his theory that inflammation in the arteries was the cause of heart disease, a theory traditional medicine saw as heresy disputing the cholesterol theory.

Leaving surgery brought a freedom to refocus his career writing books and articles, presentations, interviews and speeches to educate on inflammation and how to prevent and reverse heart disease through nutrition and lifestyle changes.

Vitamin D is not a vitamin but a hormone. It is unique in that it is made in the skin as a result of exposure to sunlight. Photosynthesis of vitamin D has been occurring on earth for more than 750 million years. Some of the earliest life forms that were exposed to sunlight for their energy requirement were also photosynthesizing vitamin D. Both children and adults have in the past depended on adequate sun exposure to satisfy their vitamin D requirement. It is well documented that at the turn of the last century upwards of 80% of children in the industrialized, polluted cities of northern Europe and northeastern United States suffered from the devastating consequences of vitamin D deficiency rickets. The skin has a large capacity to make vitamin D. Exposure of a person in a bathing suit to a minimal erythemal dose of sunlight, which is typically no more than 15-20 minutes on Cape Cod in June or July at noon time, is the equivalent to taking 20,000 IU of vitamin D orally. It is now well documented that in the absence of any sun exposure 1,000 IU of vitamin D3 a day is necessary to maintain healthy levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D in the circulation. An analysis of the NHANES III data has demonstrated that neither children nor adults are receiving an adequate amount of vitamin D from their diet or from supplements.

This fiesty and fun older gentleman has been around the sun more than most of all of us without having been pumped with vaccines and other pharmaceuticals, taking supplements, etc. So as we say around here”the proof is in the pudding.” Colonel Joe suggests that the number one cause of cancer is citric acid, then goes on to list 4 more things to absolutely stay away from. He then goes on to explain Oxalic acid, Gods chemotherapy, as he describes it, and by adding foods to the diet high in oxalates, without overdoing it, can easily cure disease. It seems so simple, but very sensible. Using dark chocolate vs. chemotherapy? We’ll take door #1.
