Adano Ley (Swami Nitty-Gritty) said …

“The first bite of the day should be almond to set the full strength of hydrochloric acid for all-day protein digestion. When you leave hydrochloric acid in your stomach, the saliva and hydrochloric acid become toxic.”

“Papaya and squash are therapy foods for the stomach.”

“Take green plantain and cayenne for a stomach ulcer. Take carrot juice and cayenne for colon ulcers. Use sauerkraut for ulcers.”

“Plantain prevents bleeding ulcers.”

“Take a little wine for your stomach’s sake, not for your brain’s. An American Indian can handle one jigger of alcohol, an Oriental, two jiggers, and a Caucasian, three jiggers.”

“Don’t be the Saint who died from a stomachache just because he wouldn’t touch a tomato.”

“Meat is not digested in the stomach. It is decomposed. If the stomach was intended to digest flesh, then the hydrochloric acid would have self-digested its container.”

“Tissue is a compensatory food, a spare tire. The stomach torques meat. Fiber is a primary food, and tissue is a secondary food.”

“Moses lifted man’s consciousness to the stomach chakra.”

Natalie Angier (“Hyenas’ Hormone Flow Puts Females in Charge,” The New York Times, Sept. 1, 1992) wrote …

“The researchers [at the University of California at Berkeley] are exploring the hyena’s unusual endocrine system to understand how the mother’s reproductive machinery ends up generating such high doses of androgens that in turn profoundly influence her growing cubs. They believe their work will yield real insights into many puzzles of physiology and behavior, among them how androgens and their female counterpart, the estrogens, jointly influence sexual development in all mammals.

“Already their discoveries are toppling traditional ideas about testosterone and its role in shaping dominant behavior, suggesting that for many animals, including humans, other hormonal pathways may be more important in the genesis and fine-tuning of a ferocious personality.”

“It is an oddity of sex hormones that estrogen in males and females comes from testosterone. Both sexes have testosterone and estrogen, although men have more testosterone and women have more estrogen. The same individual can have high levels of both hormones. Stallions have high levels of estrogen and testosterone, as do football players and rattlesnakes.” — James McBride Dabbs & Mary Godwin Dabbs

Joseph Bass and Joseph S. Takahashi (“Circadian Rhythms: Redox redux,” Nature, Jan. 27, 2011) wrote …

“Last spring, a visitor at the biennial meeting of the Society for Research on Biological Rhythms in Florida approached the geneticist Sydney Brenner inquiring as to what it was that scientists studying circadian rhythms actually do. With a glimmer in his eye, Brenner responded that the meeting concerned ‘those things that only happen once each day’. Indeed, all forms of life undergo circadian (roughly 24-hour) fluctuations in energy availability that are tied to alternating cycles of light and darkness.”

“Savages” are mostly immune to dental disease.

The percentage of skulls showing carious teeth of North American Indians was 9.5 percent — 3.9 percent for those living in the Pacific Northwest.

Caries mostly belonged to tribal elders, usually affecting their molar teeth, rarely their canine or incisor teeth.

Is the stomach and the other organs not made of a different fundamental tissue than the muscles/skin/fat?

Is it our omnivore status that allows us to eat meat too?

Does this relate to fish too?

I have heard Adano say Jesus ate some honeycomb and flesh (fish) after resurrection but no flesh mentioned before resurrection.

What does alcohol do positively for the stomach?

Different tissue but still flesh. There could also be a self-recognition factor in play. :)

Re: Is it our omnivore status that allows us to eat meat too?

Herbivores don’t have gall bladders. Carnivores have gall bladders right up against the pyloric valve. We’re somewhere in between.

Re: Does this relate to fish too?

Mostly. People will say, “Beef stays in the stomach for four or five hours, while fish only takes one hour.” Yet venison and other wild game takes only an hour too.

Re: I have heard Adano say Jesus ate some honeycomb and flesh (fish) after resurrection but no flesh mentioned before resurrection.

Jesus apparently fed 4,000 people with bread and fish, but Adano never told me if Jesus partook of that meal.

Re: What does alcohol do positively for the stomach?

Tiny amounts combined with food or larger amounts on an empty stomach are therapies for various conditions, e.g., tequila, aloe, and pineapple juice for hormone balancing, or straight tequila for parasites.

Generally, it’s not our highest choice to drink more than a teaspoon or two of alcohol with a meal (but it’s no big deal if your combine your food with alcohol for social purposes). :)
