Cod liver oil and fish oil are toxic enough without adding potassium bromate into the mix.

E.M. Wood & W.T. Yasutake (“Ceroid in Fish,” American Journal of Pathology, Jun. 1956) wrote …

“Ceroid originally was considered a characteristic and specific microscopic finding in experimental hepatic cirrhosis of dietary origin. Later, however, it was established that dietary cirrhosis could be produced without ceroid and that cod-liver oil enhanced the formation of the pigment. Endicott reported that prolonged in vitro oxidation of cod-liver oil or linseed oil by potassium bromate produced acid-fast material similar to ceroid. He noted that these oils, when injected subcutaneously into rats, gradually acquired acid-fastness. Victor and Pappenheimer confirmed that dietary cirrhosis unaccompanied by pigmentary deposits could be produced. They noted that ceroid was not dependent either upon fatty changes in liver cells or upon cirrhosis and that vitamin E retarded the appearance of the pigment. They described ceroid for the first time in humans, in 4 cases ‘of profound nutritional disorder.'”

What is potassium bromate?

It’s a “flour improver” used in the U.S., but banned in many other countries.

(Also, bromine in ocean water and seafood creates potassium bromate out of the body’s potassium carbonate.)

Eating E924 (its food additive name) at the same meal as cod liver oil or fish oil increases the amount of damage they cause in the liver and skin (the skin reflects the liver with “age spots”).

According to The Science of Bakery Products (edited by W.P. Edwards), 2007 …

“Potassium bromate is now banned throughout the EU, including the UK. It remains in use in the USA but there is an agreement to minimise usage. It is still utilised in Canada and New Zealand but has been voluntarily discontinued in Japan. It is needed to operate the continuous mix systems employed in the USA. There is little doubt that potassium bromate is on the way out. Consumer pressure in the USA may force its withdrawal before legislation does.”

According to the same source …

“Potassium bromate had been used as a flour treatment agent for over 80 years. It is a powerful oxidising agent and it became known that it is carcinogenic.

“Initially, potassium bromate was assumed to react completely on baking. However, testing revealed that traces of it survived in to the finished product.”

(Assume = ass u me = making an ass out of you and me.)

According to “Use of potassium bromate as food add-on banned,” The Hindu, Jun. 21, 2016 …

“The government on Monday banned the use of potassium bromate as a food additive following a Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) study that found its presence in bread caused cancer.”

Vishwa Mohan (“CSE urges ban on use of potassium iodate in bread,” The Times of India, Jun. 21, 2016) wrote …

“Both Potassium Bromate and Potassium Iodate have been banned in several countries worldwide due to their possible adverse health effects.”

“Unsaturated fatty acids were recognized as important etiologic agents in the production of ceroid and Casselman, in a series of well conceived experiments, demonstrated the in vitro preparation of substances resembling ceroid by the auto-oxidation of unsaturated fats, fatty acids, or their esters. Similar reactions were not given by hydrocarbons, saturated fats, or fatty acids. The formation of these ceroid-like substances was inhibited by antioxidants. He concluded that whenever conditions are such that unsaturated fats accumulate in tissues to such an extent that a relative lack of biologic antioxidants results, auto-oxidation of the fats and their conversion to ceroid pigments are favored.”

“Quakers view anger as a distraction to be mastered. Along with music, dancing, theater, and romantic fiction, it diverted a person from the spirit inside. How lucky the men, whose anger propelled them in their pursuit of money. How unlucky the women, forced to suppress their rage; and how often it emerged in nervous conditions.”

“He [Stephen Girard] was instrumental in securing the establishment of the new Bank of the United States, and was its largest stockholder and one of its directors. He even offered to unite his own institution with it upon certain liberal conditions, which were refused. Yet he was always a firm friend to it.”

“I see in the near future a crisis arising, which unnerves me and makes me tremble for the safety of my country. As a result of the war corporations have been enthroned, and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power will endeavor to prolong its reign, by working on the prejudices of the people, until all wealth is aggregated in the hands of the few, and the Republic is lost.” — Abraham Lincoln (1865)
