Pineal Pine Cone
Re: Does the pine cone at the Vatican have anything to do with the pineal gland?
There IS an indirect link. The Vatican’s pine cone is a pagan symbol of symbolic and actual CASTRATION.
The pineal is anti-gonadal and associated with the color MAGENTA.
Re: What about the two peacocks on either side of the pine cone?
The pineal gland is also known as the Third Eye.
The pineal is INDIRECTLY affected by every color of the rainbow.
The pathway of this indirect connection (from outside to inside) is as follows …
Retina —> retinohypothalamic projection —> suprachiasmatic nuclei (SCN) —> paraventricular nuclei —> intermediolateral cell column —> superior cervical ganglia —> nervi conarii —> pineal gland.
A peacock’s tail is said to contain the “eyes” of the stars.
“The eyes of Thuban are upon you.”
Thuban was closest to the Pole Star in 2830 BC.
Re: Is the pineal’s melatonin needed for sleep?
It’s exactly the opposite.
The surgical removal of the pineal results in sleepiness.
Nocturnal animals with large pineal glands (rats, bats, etc.) secrete melatonin to stay awake.
Re: Is it true that lack of sleep inhibits the formation of memory?
Yes, and that’s a good thing.
Another name for memory is “engram.”
Memory transforms the brain into a tape recorder.
Lack of memory transforms the brain into a transmitter and receiver.
Adano Ley (Swami Nitty-Gritty) deprived me of sleep on an all-night round trip from Texas to Mississippi.
We shared the driving, but whenever I tried to cat-nap, Adano would keep me wide awake by expounding on the secrets of the universe till it was my turn to drive.
“I feel pretty good for staying up all night,” I mused as we returned to the outskirts of Houston. “Except my mind is a BLANK, like ‘Duh.’ Lack of sleep makes me feel STUPID.”
“What do you think delta IS, brother?” Adano replied.
Re: Doesn’t lack of sleep shorten lifespan?
No. Lack of DELTA shortens lifespan.
