Sugar Might Not Be the Devil

Sugar is the Devil, according to all the Fake News that’s fit to print.

According to the Food and Drug Administration …

“The goal is for Americans to limit added sugar to no more than 10 percent of daily calories, according to the proposed guidelines. For someone older than 3, that means eating no more than 12.5 teaspoons, or 50 grams, of it a day.”

What if sugar were the Devil sometimes, and a Guardian Angel other times?

What if timing and circumstances were paramount?

How does the Food and Drug Administration explain guys like Hugh Hefner?

He’ll be 91 revolutions around the Sun in just a few weeks, and has probably downed enough sugared Pepsi to fill a swimming pool.

Today Hef drinks up to 30 cans of decaffeinated Diet Pepsi a day, but, for years, he guzzled an equal amount of the Devil’s sugar-loaded version.

Each 12-ounce can of regular Pepsi contains 41 grams of sugar and high fructose corn syrup.

By FDA standards, one can would leave him with only 9 grams left to go for the rest of his day.

But he was slurping down 30 times 41 grams, or 1,230 grams.

At 150 calories a can, that adds up to 4,500 calories a day.

The Bunny Master is rumored to be frail and sick today, although his reps deny it.

But maybe it’s because he switched to Diet Pepsi, a product of “better living through industrial chemistry.”

Diet Pepsi contains sucralose, advertised as “320 to 1,000 times sweeter than sucrose” and “three times as sweet as aspartame.”

Maybe that’s why Hef said (after he switched from sucrose to sucralose) …

“In my wildest dreams, I could not have imagined a sweeter life.”

Or maybe not.

Many “experts” claim sugar causes cancer, misquoting Otto Warburg, who blamed lactic acid, not sugar.

Ironically, many “health” advocates are recommending lactic-acid fermented foods.

Ray Peat (“Glycemia, starch, and sugar in context,” 2006-2016) …

“Judging by present and past statements of the American Dietetic Association, I think some kind of institutional brain defect might account for their recommendations. Although the dietetic association now feebly acknowledges that sugars don’t raise the blood sugar more quickly than starches do, they can’t get away from their absurd old recommendations, which were never scientifically justified: ‘Eat more starches, such as bread, cereal, and starchy vegetables — 6 servings a day or more. Start the day with cold (dry) cereal with nonfat/skim milk or a bagel with one teaspoon of jelly/jam. Put starch center stage — pasta with tomato sauce, baked potato with chili, rice and stir-fried beef and vegetables. Add cooked black beans, corn, or garbanzo beans (chickpeas) to salads or casseroles.’

“The Dietetic Association’s association with General Mills, the breakfast cereal empire, (and Kellogg, Nabisco, and many other food industry giants) might have something to do with their starchy opinions. Starch-grain embolisms can cause brain damage, but major money can also make people say stupid things.”

“Sugars DON’T raise blood sugar more quickly than starches do. Starch efficiently stimulates insulin secretion, and that accelerates the disposition of glucose, activating its conversion to glycogen and fat, as well as its oxidation.”

According to the same source …

“Some carbohydrates are very hard for us to digest (cellulotic green vegetables) while others (grains, legumes, starchy veggies) will raise blood sugar so quickly that they will cause blood sugar regulation issues leading to the perpetuation of the affects of high cortisol and adrenaline.”

I’m the Yes No Maybe Guy, so my take is that sugar can be Good, Bad, or Otherwise.

Here’s one case in point …

“Ketogenesis limits the body’s formation of substances known as reactive oxygen species, which can damage cells. When you introduce glucose (as in, if you eat sugar, or any carbohydrate that breaks down into sugar), that switch to a fasting metabolism is undone. The sugar triggers the release of the hormone insulin, which tells the body that we don’t need to use our fat reserves, bringing ketogenesis to a grinding halt. So when the mice were given glucose, the inflammatory process caused damage to neurons in the brain, causing the mice to convulse and die.

“Meanwhile the virus triggered a different type of sepsis, in which removing glucose was uniformly lethal. In that case, glucose seemed to be necessary for adapting to the stress of viral inflammation, by preventing stress-mediated apoptosis (cell death). Without that, an area in the brainstem was destroyed by inflammation, and the mice would stop breathing.”

    84 percent of fat is exhaled as carbon dioxide. 16 percent of fat is excreted as water.

    This is well known.

    What’s unknown is that fat can be INHALED in the form of its precursor, carbon dioxide.

    It’s the subject of The Book of Bloat …

    The Liver Meridian is at Flood Tide between 1:00-3:00 a.m.

    The Liver Meridian is at Half Tide (on the way out) between 7:00-9:00 a.m. (6 hours and 90 degrees later).

    The Liver Meridian is at Ebb Tide between 1:00-3:00 p.m. (12 hours and 180 degrees later).

    The Liver Meridian is at Half Tide (on the way in) between 7:00-9:00 p.m. (18 hours and 270 degrees later).

      Hello Atom! So based on this table, would it be most ideal to perform a coffee enema for the purposes of detoxifying the liver during the organ’s Ebb Tide, between 1:00-3:00pm? Or is there a more beneficial period?
      If a person consistently wakes up between 1:00-3:00am, it is usually linked “liver stress”…as this is during the Flood Tide, what does this mean is happening? Is an over-burdened liver being flooded with more work from various parts of the body? What are some suggestions that would help resolve that particular issue?

        Yep. The liver sits on the toilet at 2:00 p.m. (or so), and sits at the dinner table at 2:00 a.m. (or so).

        1:00-3:00 p.m. is Bile Dumping Time.

        1:00-3:00 a.m. is Glycogen Building Time.

        A stressed liver is telephoning for help, asking, “Hey, my stove is on the fritz. Can I borrow your camping stove so I can cook dinner tonight?”

        Sweet fruit or a spoonful of honey will get the liver through the night, so the brain can figure out what’s going on after it’s fueled with Cobalamin Tonic.

        Nitric oxide and leptin are the liver’s enemies at dawn, peaking at 1:30 a.m.(unless you opt for the sweet fruit or honey).

        Red light at Stomach Time helps neutralize these two desperadoes.

        The liver thrives on sweet fruit in the morning, ripe tomatoes at midday, and dextrinized beets at night.

        Polyunsaturated fatty acids age the liver (not to mention aging and literally hardening the heart while dying it a fluorescent yellow-brown — Yellow Fat Disease.

          Hi Atom,

          Where is the most optimum body parts to shine red light for increased mitochondrial activity?

          About beets, I always eat them with carrot raw at night. Is this ok? What do you mean by dextrinizing it?

          About coconut oil, is it ok to take MCT oil (C8) instead?

            1) The face — with closed eyes at a minimum of 18 inches — is generally ideal for red light therapy.

            2) Beets go well with carrots. Dextrinizing breaks carbohydrates down into simple dextrose (glucose) under dry heat. (See some of my other blog entries on One Radio Network for details.)

            3) MCT oil will do, esp. for those having coconut oil allergies. It’s very, very, very difficult to buy pure coconut oil (despite the overwhelming hype claiming otherwise).

        Carbon foods have the highest sugar (end-stage carbohydrate) content.

        Dates are at the top of the list, but fruits containing potassium and natural silica (dietary fiber) are the highest choice.

            Most raw fruits and fructo-vegetables are high in one or the other.

            Raw mangoes or raw kiwis are high in both for breakfast.

            Ditto raw oranges for brunch.

            Ditto raw tomatoes or raw bell peppers for lunch.

            Ditto raw pineapple at night.

            (Note: Cooking reduces potassium content, but silica is more resistant to heat.)

    A man fell from the third floor of a building, and consulted me about his damaged back.

    “Let me ask you a crazy question. What color comes to your mind when you think of your back?” I asked.

    “Violet.”

    “Did you have a spiritual or religious trauma just before the fall?”

    “I was initiated into Transcendental Meditation. I got a mantra the morning before the fall.”

    Another man had a prostate problem.

    “What color comes to your mind when you think about your prostate?” I asked.

    “Violet.”

    “Did you have any problems involving both your father and religion?”

    “My father was excommunicated from the Catholic Church.”

    The prostate gland often indicates a father trauma, just as the uterus often indicates a mother trauma.

    Violet is the color of violence, spiritual authority, and/or religious authority.

    Violet, red-violet, blue-violet, and purple, are colors linked with royalty, pain, suffering, mourning, penitence, and the Catholic and Anglican churches.

    Overcoming the color violet means standing on your own two feet, and becoming your own spiritual authority.

        I’m on board too. It’s hard to find people these days that put out good research on fructose. A lot of them say that fructose is bad and then cite a study on high fructose corn syrup. ;)

      Red light at Stomach Time (7:00-9:00 a.m.) helps neutralize both nitric oxide and leptin.

      Both of these chemicals actively promote inflammation and autoimmune responses.

      Pharmaceutical marketing is designed to find one “good thing” a drug does, while concealing multiple “bad things.”

      For example, leptin is promoted as a “hormone,” while totally ignoring its role as a cytokine.
