Re: Can you comment on this article? (Diana Gitig, “Immune cells tweak the body’s metabolism to help control obesity,” ars techia dot com, 12-23-2014) ~and~ It seems that turning white fat into brown fat is a good thing to burn it; is brown or beige fat the same thing as yellow fat?

Wow! Lab techs in white coats are hazardous to our health and longevity!

<>

Using ILC2s (innate lymphoid cells) to fight obesity is like using piranhas for weight loss.

ILC2s secrete cytokines to fight parasites but cause allergic lung inflammation.

Yikes! Who dreams this stuff up?

ILC2s are in the fat cells of folks who eat polyunsaturated fatty acids and highly-unsaturated fatty acids.

Might as well use ionizing radiation to waste away flesh.

<>

IL33 (interleukin 33) is released in response to Yellow Fat Disease — “curing” it with side effects like asthma, allergies, endometriosis, and a wide range of inflammatory diseases.

IL33 is stimulated by cold thermogenesis, but epithelial ovarian cancer works even “better.”

Cold therapy used for weight loss recruits heat shock proteins (HSPs).

There’s no such thing as cold — temperature is the loss or gain of heat.

Heat shock proteins are created by either profound lack of heat (very cold) or profound gain of heat (very hot).

Or any kind of internal or external stress.

<>

Brown Fat super-metabolizes — but at a cost.

What do excess nutrients (overeating) and exposure to cold have in common?

They both create ROS (reactive oxygen species) “potentially causing damage to cellular components and cell death.”

I walk big circles around biohacking leptin with cold thermogenesis because “ROS production in the mitochondria can lead to damage to macromolecules throughout the cells, including nuclear DNA, membrane lipids, and proteins.”

Damage to membrane lipids = weight loss (or sometimes exactly the opposite: bloating accompanied by the loss of lean muscle mass).

<>

What about the iron in brown fat?

Iron is necessary for life, isn’t it?

Doesn’t the extra iron in the mitrochondria contribute to weight loss?

Yes, but the iron in brown fat tends to go rogue, causing ferroptosis = iron-dependent cell death.

Ferroptosis is “inappropriate iron chelation as a major contributor to the etiology of vascular and other progressive inflammatory and degenerative diseases.”

Ferroptosis is often accompanied by hemosiderosis = iron overload.

<>

There IS another way to look at ILC2/IL33/iron therapy …

Whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

It sometimes works.

<>

Yellow Fat and Yellow Fat Disease have as much in common as a horseshoe and a horseshoe crab.

Or a baseball bat and a vampire bat.

Or a telephone pole and a polecat.

Yellow Fat is the normal canary yellow fat found in both chickens and human beings.

Beef fat is white (because cows can process red, yellow, and orange carotenoids).

<>

Yellow Fat Disease is a fat-cell disease of just about any creature on earth that has anything to do with PUFAs and HUFAs.

It causes both yellow and white fat cells to become inflamed and discolored — yellow-orange, yellow-brown, orange-brown, etc.

Indicators of Yellow Fat Disease involve the entire body, not just its fat cells …

“hyperesthesia, painful, nodular-to-irregular subcutaneous masses, neutrophilic leukocytosis, firm and discolored subcutaneous fat, and lobular and septal pyogranulomatous panniculitis with necrosis, mineralization, and ceroid pigment deposition.”

The oxidative degradation of fat cells creates free radicals that attack the entire body from head to toe.

Michael Brook (“Five insights challenging science’s unshakable ‘truths’,” The Guardian, Jun. 28, 2014) wrote …

“A study of Dutch women starved by the Nazis during the second world war – the British actress Audrey Hepburn was among them – has found elevated levels of schizophrenia, breast cancer and heart disease. The data suggest that the alterations to which genes are turned on or off survive at least two generations: the one that suffered in the womb during the famine, and their children.

“They may go much further. A 2011 study published by researchers at the Salk Institute in La Jolla, California, demonstrated epigenetic mutations that lasted for at least 30 generations in plants.”

“Hepatic ceroidosis” is doc-speak for Yellow Fat Disease of the Liver.

Transgenerational traumas are cleared by starting with the most recent trauma and working backwards — peeling the Cosmic Onion.

Anything we do or not do meddles with the karma of others because All Is One — the Unified Field.

There is no karma ~when~ we truly live NOW.

Many people who think they’re living now are doing just that …

thinking they’re living now instead of actually living now, which involves no thinking. :-D

i have a chicken pickin’ with the “no thoughts” part. i can sort of assimilate osho’s “no mind” idea but think constantly.

then i’ll keep up with the recycling everything! i sort of believe the traumas of my relatives are always mine as well. kind of cleaning out the family closet.
could you recommend a good available book on homeopathy? they have very expensive literature in general i find. thanks again!

I can only recommend one homeopathy book at this tme — The Organon of Medicine, by Samuel Hahnemann.

The really good news is that it’s FREE, thanks to the Internet. :-D

Most subsequent homeopathy books are distortions of Dr. Hahnemann’s original ideas, and the only way to separate the wheat from the chaff is to read his groundbreaking book.
