LSD Versus Serotonin & Melatonin

In the heavyweight fight between LSD and serotonin, guess who the U.S. Government and the Mainstream Media have put their fiat money on?

Leah R. Garnett (“Prozac Revisited: As Drug Gets Remade, Concerns About Suicides Surface,” Boston Globe, May 7, 2000) wrote …

“Using figures on Prozac both from Lilly and independent research, however, Dr. David Healy, an expert on the brain’s serotonin system and director of the North Wales Department of Psychological Medicine at the University of Wales, estimated that ‘probably 50,000 people have committed suicide on Prozac since its launch, over and above the number who would have done so if left untreated.'”

According to the same source …

“By the end of last year, more than 35 million people worldwide were using the drug, which provided Lilly with more than 25 percent of its $10 billion in 1999 revenue.”

<>

According to Ray Peat …

“In animal studies LSD, and other anti-serotonin agents, increase playfulness and accelerate learning, and cause behavioral impairment only at very high doses.”

<>

I’m not about dropping LSD.

I’m about cultivating the LSD already residing in the brain.

Just like natural opioids (endorphins, enkephalins, and dynorphins) are inside the brain, so are serotonin antagonists.

It’s LSD without the toxic residue.

Mystic ecstasy is not something you have to go GET.

Mystic ecstasy is at the tip of your nose.

It’s not the tip you can see. It’s the other tip.

<>

Do you really fancy that Catholic Saints like Joseph of Cupertino licked a sheet of blotter acid to experience biological nirvana while levitating?

<>

Here’s some of the latest scientific silliness.

Hannah Devlin (“LSD study reveals why acid trips last so long,” The Guardian, Jan. 26, 2017) wrote …

“A new study is the first to demonstrate precisely how the compound lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) attaches to serotonin receptors in the brain.

“The images reveal that once the LSD compound latches on, part of the serotonin receptor folds down over it like a dustbin lid, meaning that it is held tightly in place allowing the drug to linger in the brain for up to 12 hours.”

What’s wrong with this? Everything!

There are NO “serotonin receptors.”

NO “estrogen receptors.”

NO “dopamine receptors.”

NO “melatonin receptors.”

The gullible public believes everything the U.S. Government and the Mainstream Media spoon-feed them.

<>

The Nation of Sheep is so “lost in space” (who needs NASA?) that “DHA-receptor GPR120” is actually taken seriously.

Now we have receptors with their own ZIP Codes.

Doesn’t anyone read Gilbert N. Ling or Ray Peat?

<>

Ray Peat (“Serotonin, depression, and aggression: The problem of brain energy,” 2006-2016) wrote …

“If the therapeutic value of LSD and related drugs (e.g., methysergide) with expired patents, used as antiserotonin agents, became widely known, the existing system of power and profit would be threatened. The war on drugs has always had its ulterior motives, including justifying domestic and foreign interventions in issues that have nothing to do with drugs. And in the case of the serotonin/antiserotonin mythology, this ‘war’ has been rewarding to the drug industry — Lilly makes over $2 billion annually on Prozac. Each suicide caused by Prozac would appear to be balanced by several hundred thousand dollars earned by the corporation. If the war on drugs were serious, this would be a good place to start. And in weighing what corporate punishments might be appropriate, this corporation’s financial support for universal capital punishment should be taken into account.”

Dr. David Healy (“Pharmageddon is the Story of a Tragedy,” 2017) wrote …

“The horrors are best caught by the example of the increasing numbers of pregnant women who religiously steer clear of alcohol, tobacco, soft cheeses, or anything that might harm their unborn child, but who are nonetheless being urged by their doctors to take drugs like the antidepressants — now the most commonly prescribed drugs in pregnancy — even as the evidence accumulates that these drugs cause birth defects, double the rate of miscarriages, and cause mental handicap in children born to mothers who have been taking them.

“This example of a shepherding of innocents into pharmaceutical killing fields is not an isolated incident. Life expectancy in the US, the country that consumes most of the latest life-saving drugs is falling rapidly compared to the rest of the world. For diseases like schizophrenia, we are now doing 10 times worse in terms of life expectancy than we were 100 years ago.”

You were taught in school that your appendix was a vestigial organ?

Guess again! It’s part of your second stomach.

You were taught in school that duodenal ulcers are caused by H. pylori?

Guess again! Serious burns and scalding injuries are the easiest ways to “earn” one of these ulcers.

You were taught in school that exophthalmic goiter is caused by hyperthyroidism?

Guess again! World War I battle veterans commonly ended up with semi-permanent bulging eyes following a single horrendous battle.

What doctors then called a Psychic Blow, I call a Cognitive Shock.

It’s also been called an Engram.
