In 2000, Dr. Fereydoon Batmanghelidj personally told me I would be dead within a year because I only drank 2 cups of coffee and 2 glasses of pineapple juice a day (and an occasional glass of tomato juice and molasses).

Dr. “Batman,”author of Your Body’s Many Cries for Water, 1992, went on cosmic vacation in 2004.

Charles A. Orr (in the New York Medical Journal, January 21, 1905) wrote …

“The abuse of water drinking in disease is disclosed by Morris Manges. He says that it not infrequently adds to the burdens of an already taxed heart and circulation, and augments the embarrassment of organs we are striving to relieve by allowing too free use of water. Taken in small quantities, hot water raises the pulse-rate and lowers the blood-pressure; cold water diminishes the pulse-rate and raises the blood pressure; lukewarm water lowers blood pressure. […] These effects cease in about 20 minutes. They are due to the influence exerted upon the vasomotor centers rather than to a dilution of the blood. The greater the quantity of water above 200 cc, the greater the effect upon the blood vessels. Diuresis does not depend upon the quality of water introduced into the body, but upon the blood pressure in the kidneys. He states that the practice of simply directing the patient to drink as much water as possible, as is so often done, without considering the condition of the heart, circulation, and kidneys, cannot be too strongly condemned.”

Room-temperature water causes NO change in pulse-rate or blood pressure.

PS: Dr. “Batman” didn’t know that if you eat the Solar Nutrition way, you can eventually give up drinking liquids altogether.

Human beings – well, most ofus – have the ability to turn sugar (C12H22O11 etc.) directly into water (H2O).

Water has no growth period, although Large Intestine Time (5:00-7:00 am), Urinary Bladder Time (3:00-5:00 pm), and Kidney Time (5:00-7:00 pm) are favorable times to take in liquids.

      The general rule is …

      (1) if your urine is clear, you’re drinking too much water,

      (2) if your urine is dark and odorous, you’re not getting enough water, and

      (3) if your urine is slightly straw-colored with no odor, you’re right on the mark.

Too little water is just as counterproductive as too much water, and there are “water protocols” I will discuss in future blog entries – God willin’ and if the cricks don’t rise. :)
