Re: What does it mean to be spiritually awake?

It means to be physiologically awake 24 hours a day.

“Stay awake and pray, so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is strong but the flesh is weak.”

Spirit = Fourth Chakra (oxygen)

Flesh = First Chakra (carbon)

A lady asked me for a bottle of L-tryptophan when I managed a California health food store in the 1980s.

She looked healthy and energetic, so I probed, “May I ask you what you’re going to use it for?”

“I can’t go to sleep at night,” she replied.

“Are you tired in the morning?”

“No.”

“Then why do you need tryptophan?”

“So I don’t stay awake all night.”

“What’s wrong with staying awake all night?”

“What would I do if I stayed up?”

“What do you do during the day? What’s your favorite thing to do?”

“I love to read.”

“Then why don’t you read all night?”

“I can’t.”

“Why not?”

“I’m staying with my family, and I’d disturb them by leaving the light on.”

“Do you have a room of your own where you’re staying?”

“Yes, I do.”

“Why don’t you read in your room, and the light won’t bother them?”

“Why, yes, I could do that.”

Tears welled up in her eyes when she realized I had added years to her life.

She thanked me profusely, and walked out of the store.

I lost a sale that day.

Adano Ley (Swami Nitty-Gritty) said …

“The Bible says, ‘Love the Lord with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ You can’t do that all the time if you sleep”

Re: Does the lack of sleep lead to adrenal exhaustion?

Only if you believe your adrenal glands are located in the core of your body.

Is Taco Bell’s “4th meal” what one eats in the “4th state”, Turiya?

Binge drinking plus Taco Bell “4th meal” does not usually equal Samadhi.

    Thanks for this reminder Atom!

How about a future blog on some tips and tricks for growth in the area of overcoming unconsciousness?

The body shuts down after three days of “fasting” to conserve energy.

This three-day rule is also known as the Butterfly Rule.

Toxins are not confined to the Exit door.

Pressure can move toxins in multiple directions.

The most potent “fast” is three days on, one day off, three days on, one day off, three days on, etc., but there can be side effects.

      Hi Atom : )

What was the question?- regarding a water(?) fast or another? And, on the days (while) “off” what would be added best or least, or alwasy avoided?
      Thanks, :)

Water fasting is guaranteed to move toxins.

Fasting mainly moves toxins into the bones instead of into the toilet where they belong.

Purges work better than fasts, and there are at least three purges for every organ system.

The flow of toxins depends on osmosis (isotonic, hypertonic, or hypotonic turgor pressures), diffusion, convection, advection, Van der Waals forces (Keesom force, Debye force, or London dispersion force), etc.

“Fasting” is a word more concerned with a psychological act of abstaining with little or no understanding of the physiological result.

We know next to nothing about the results of fasting because no one wants to foot the bill to scientifically investigate its benefits independent of the Coal Tar Cartel.

Even in the beginning of exploring, when one basks in the light (inside) for a short while before falling in to the unconscious regenerative sleep, the results are more than pleasant. One can sleep unconsciously less, and waking up to the memory of this much “more than pleasant” experience sets the day up to work within the presence of the infinite. There is inertia in this, but it is not just the result of one thing. It is also a result of not needing to “work out” the day’s unconscious waking behavior in the unconscious or dreaming regenerative sleep. I like to start with being aware of my insides, as do many people! I do a lot of sleep, I should make use of this time! Just the beginning benefits of this focus bring worthwile results that I don’t worry about, for they come as “needed”. Need is another one of those words with much depth or… vagueness. Other important words are “choice” and “will”.

Hell, reading is great at night too.

Unless people are obviously lazy or overly stressed, people usually sleep unconsciously the time that they “need”. I think most would agree that sleeping less and having more “energy” is beneficial though. Energy, another one of those vague words that is great fun to use!

Thank you for your writings, Atom.

Thanks for reminding me that dreaming while you’re awake in an excellent way to work out trauma, Brendan! :)

Sleeping less and waking up revitalized and regenerated is the name of the game.
