Sunlight Plus Goosebumps

Thanks to the Sympathetic Nervous System, ultraviolet radiation doesn’t kill us as dead as a door-nail.

Why do animals expose their wounds to sunlight?

The Sympathetic Nervous System is necessary for tissue repair and regeneration — wound healing.

<>

Sunlight promotes wound healing inside the body as well.

Sunlight plus goosebumps supercharge the healing reaction.

Need to heal an ulcer? Angiogenesis is a function of the Sympathetic nerves.

<>

But don’t the Sympathetic nerves promote tumor angiogenesis?

Yes, No, Maybe.

Dehydrating the skin sabotages the Sympathetic Nervous System, promoting inflammation instead of inhibiting it.

Exposing the skin to sunlight at sunrise and/or sunset stimulates angiogenesis minus inflammation.

Medical “experts” locate the adrenal glands on the roof of the kidneys.

These know-it-all “experts” locate the adrenal medulla (the part that secretes adrenaline) at the center of the adrenal gland.

But that’s only part of the story, and a very small part indeed.

Location, location, location! Medical “experts” don’t know their own flesh and blood real estate.

<>

The working part of the adrenal medulla — the powerhouse of the Sympathetic Nervous System — is in the SKIN.

It weighs about eight pounds and covers a surface area about 20 square feet.

The office workers are confined to the top of the kidneys.

They have no windows. They use something equivalent to Skype.

M. Luckiesh & A.J. Pacini (Light and Health, 1926) wrote …

“Not only does the stimulation of the sympathetic system stimulate also the internal secretory glands, but their secretion likewise in turn stimulates an increased sympathetic response. In this manner, the sympathetic nervous system is particularly adapted for widespread and rapid reaction in the struggle for existence. A basic tripod entrusted with the duty of supporting the individual’s preservation and the everlasting continuity of the species is thus formed by the sympathetic nervous system, and glands of internal secretion, and the gonads.”

According to the same source …

“The first obvious and highly important difference in the course of the two systems, the sympathetic and the parasympathetic, is that the sympathetic system, after distributing itself to every cell in each important organ in the body, comes to the skin surface and is thus brought within reach of the external forces; whereas, the parasympathetic system arises from the mid-brain and from the sacral portions of the cord and remains perpetually imbedded in the interior of the body away from the environmental energies.”

According to the same source …

“What appears to be a limitation in the clinical value of ultraviolet radiation as an agent for therapeutic good, seems to turn out actually to be its special feature — the inability to penetrate greater than skin depths. By thus limiting the depth to which ultraviolet radiation may penetrate into the body, this energy becomes specifically selective in its ability to stimulate the sympathetic nervous system to the exclusion of the parasympathetic nervous system. Translated into the language of the clinic, this specificity of action is revealed in the property of ultraviolet which, of all cosmic forces, appears to be the one selected to preside over calcium metabolism.”

Red light penetrates deeper into the skin than any other visible wavelengths of color.

When is the best time to absorb red light?

There are two best times — SUNRISE and SUNSET.

METABOLIC PERSONALITY TEST. Are you a Sympathetic Dominant Personality Type or are you a Parasympathetic Dominant Personality Type? Ot are you somewhere in between? Answer these 58 questions to help you find out. In addition to the test are several Appendices explaining some of Atom’s reasons for cultivating the Sympathetic Nervous System (dopamine & adrenaline) rather than the Parasympathetic Nervous System (opiates & opioids).

Yes, it’s a 250-watt RED heat lamp, also called a chicken brooding lamp.
