Re: I peel the skins off my soaked almonds. I don’t do well with tannins.
Yet TANNINS are why we’re supposed to drink green tea! Backwards world, isn’t it?
All you have to do is rename a chemical, and it goes from “bad” to “good” and back again.

Re: What tannins in tea?
According to Dr. Google (2019) .,..
“Catechins were the main phenolic compounds in tea infusions, accounting for 11.08%-16.21% dry weight of tea leaves. Specifically, EC (27 teas), EGCG (26 teas), ECG (24 teas), EGC (22 teas), GC (21 teas) and GCG (18 teas) could be detected in majorities of teas.”

Re: How many almonds can be eaten per day to avoid PUFA fat in them?
Almonds are one of the lowest foods in omega 3 fatty acids. Butter has more than almonds … and olive oil has much more.
I’m not concerned about omega 6 fatty acids except I don’t use any oil containing them.
I only eat one almond per every ten pounds of desired body weight, but the Great Gama drank a tonic containing a pound and a half of crushed almond paste mixed with water every day, and lived to 82 despite all the stress involved in winning every one of over 5,000 wrestling matches.
