Summer’s Most Infectious Bugs:Preventing and Fighting Infections Naturally

Whether you are a germophobe or not, no one likes the idea of lurking bacteria. Yes, there are some good bacteria that our bodies need but there are also very harmful bacteria that can be detrimental to our health. New research is showing that there is also seasonality to some of these bacteria that can spike in the summer months.

Sherry TorkosSherry Torkos, holistic pharmacist and author of more than a dozen books on natural health and healing says summer bacterial infections may stem from something as simple as food poisoning, but if not addressed and treated properly it can become lethal to your health. In fact, your body can act as a breeding ground for harmful bacteria that can swiftly multiply and take advantage of any weakness in your immune system. Torkos says the immune system is equipped to fight infections, however if it is compromised or not working efficiently, infection can take hold and wreak havoc.

So what are the most dangerous bacteria we should be aware of that spike in the summer months and what’s the best way to prevent our bodies from these seasonal bacteria in the first place? Sherry Torkos will share information about three types of bad bacteria that new research shows thrive in the summer months, how to prevent them and what to do if they invade your body (food borne, bladder and antibiotic-resistant bacteria (MRSA).

Taking organic cranberry juice works even better when taken with D-mannose which you can find in any health food store in capsule form. The thing I am most concerned with is that cranberries are one of the most heavily flouridated food. . Do you know a source of fluoride free cranberries?
