Dr. Ray Peat, Ph.D

Renowned Nutritional Counselor

“Hello Patrick from Melbourne Australia,
Just a quick message to say thank you and to let you know that I enjoyed your show with Dr Ray Peat immensely. He has so much knowledge across a broad spectrum of topics. Thank you so much for bringing him on and for doing what you do!!! I hope to hear more of Dr Peat in your future shows.”

“I just want to tell you how much I enjoy your recent interviews with Dr Ray Peat. I am thrilled waiting for the next one. I have known his work for quite some time, but it is so refreshing to listen to your shows. I hope you will carry on with cooperation. Dr Peat has endless knowledge to share and each time I listen to him I find something new and eye-opening. His knowledge and perspective are absolutely unique. In the world of keto, low carb nonsense, sugar hate and corrupted science, he is the last voice of honesty and sanity.” Best regards Ania from Poland

Ray Peat acquired his PhD from the University of Oregon with a specialization in physiology. He started his work on hormones in 1968 and wrote his dissertation in 1972 in which he outlined his ideas on progesterone and the hormones closely related to it. His main thesis is that energy and structure are interdependent at every level.

Some of the emails that came in during this show:

I enjoyed your show with Dr Peat last week and can’t wait for the next interview.
I started eating chicken necks, carrot salad, and oranges to help my thyroid with great results. I feel warmer and have more energy.
Please ask the following questions:  1. How does canned milk compare to fresh milk in terms of nutritional value?

2. Is goat milk kefir and goat cheese good sources for calcium and protein

I believe Ray mentioned that taking supplemental iodine does not do anything for the thyroid in his last show with you. I have taken some iodine, and it actually gives me a wonderful energy, for which I am loving because I often have no energy and get tired very easily. I am in good shape and am not overweight at all.

Can Mr. Peat recommend some foods and supplements to help a person recovering from a long-term inflammatory bowel disease that caused massive hair loss, a sharp drop in lean body mass and skin that doesn’t seem to heal at all from minor cuts, scrapes and bruises?

I would like to know Dr. Peat’s information on using turpentine internally and does he have any good or bad reasons regarding ingesting food grade turpentine in small amount? Also, applying it to the body or scalp? I have also used a few drops in bathtub as only a few drops is powerful.

Is it OK to take bio identical hormones (as long as they are balanced) if one has breast cancer er+, pr-, Her2+?

Hello Gentlemen! What would Dr. Peat recommend for rheumatoid arthritis in both knees and wrists? I do not eat junk food diet…lots of vegetables, some fruits, bone broths organic etc…,grass fed milk,I do like cottage cheese and it is Nancy’s brand organic, grass fed butter, coconut manna as I do like the thickness of manna…a real organic egg per day…

Dr. Peat, it’s so cool you connect volatile organic compounds to nanoparticles. Please tell us more.

Many plant toxins are potent antibiotics, for example, chlorellin (Robertston Pratt, 1940). Allelopathy is the science devoted to it. Can you recommend any effective natural antibiotics for folks who walk big circles around medical doctors?

What does Ray Peat recommend eating for balancing progesterone? Is it only an Orange?

If progesterone supplementation is required, do you recommend the drop or the creams nowadays? …and how do one know when supplementation is required? My wife said she felt like a million bucks when she was pregnant and her progesterone levels were somewhat normal.

Would Dr. Peat recommend having Mercury amalgams removed in people with neurodegenerative issues?

    Dr. Ray Peat,
I am a 61 year old woman; 300lbs; take 88mcg of synthroid daily for past 25+years; diagnosed with osteoarthritis in left hip 10-15 years ago. My last x-ray showed bone spurs on hip joint, I still have cartilage but it’s becoming thinner. I do not take prescription pain killers; I do take MSM and Serrapeptase along with multiple B vitamins for arthritis, I also take about a 1/8 tsp of boron in my water daily.
You talk about RA but not OA; will progesterone help with the pain from OA? Can I take aspirin without worrying about the “warnings” on the bottle? Does anything help to dissolve bone spurs and re-grow cartilage?
The obvious thing is that I will need to lose weight; other than that I am fairly healthy as far as my yearly blood tests tell me.
    Thank you!
